      I know the spool is considered heavy by todays BFS standard but it holds less line with that modified spool. Made for braid

      Excense DC 2017. I have the 2012, nice but heavy. Easy to cast.

    I purchased an Engetsu because of this video. I love it!! I replaced all my Curado K reels with them. The handle is great and it is smooth as silk. Not to mention it will cast a country mile. Thanks for your videos and thorough testing of all products.

      How do you like the knobs on it? Picked one up and the knobs (and maybe a scorpion 70 spool) are the only thing I’ve been wondering about

    The early version of Stephano does not comes with any braking system, IIRC it is designed for jigging, but it does not stop enthusiast from adding SVS . I own the Stephano SS 100, love it until I get the Scorpion BFS :P

    Would the stile 150 ss pg make for a good deep or mid depth crankbait reel? I use 8 and 10xds one rod and the other I'll throw a dt 10 or 5xd

    That stile 100 is the pick of the bunch. Looks incredible, breaking system is very simple, most bait casting veterans don’t bother with breaks anyway.

    Interested in that Stile. Love the size of the Aldebaran but just don't like how it casts and reels. It just doesn't feel like a $400 USD reel. Curious to know if the Stile will give the premium feel at the same size as the Aldebaran.

    I have 2 Stile SS, different gear ratios, the second one I got when JPtackle blew them out for $152. Switch the handle off one to my Curado 70 for flipping and frogging and use the one Stile as my jerkbait reel. I always wondered about getting the Engatsu...... good luck and keep up the great material.
    PS, the Diawa Ryoga is my smoothest reel by far, I’d get one of those also 😉

      manzokazi can you help me with some question since you have the stile SS. I was checking some of the reels that happen to be on this video. The Stile SS and Engetsu 100HG since it base on curado 70 (I have 3 curado 70 and a scorpion 70). The spool of stile SS rated at 150 but from image the spool look much shallower, all the spec show PE1.5@200m but doesn't seem like it gonna hold 12lb@110yds. Can you confirm this please. I have been looking for deep spool version of 70.

    • @manzokazi
      @manzokazi Před 6 lety

      Pursue_TheDDbass คนหาปลา it definitely holds way more line then my Curado 70 by far. With 50lb braid on my Curado 70 I can almost cast the whole spool out with a frog. Not so much with the stile ss

    I really want engetsu 100HG, been checking out that reel for quite awhile. That reel is truely future of 70 and I have 4 of 70 so far. The only thing concern me is spool which rate PE1@200m but in the image look much shallower. Can anyone confirm of Engetsu 100HG spool compare to 70?

    "Big Mouth" here. I just bought a "Stile" 100 PG reel over the "Engetsu". "Stile" 100 reels have a RRP of $680 over here, though I didn't have to pay that much. I had the choice of an "Engetsu" or the "Stile" (for $100 over the "Engetsu"). I chose the "Stile because the "Engetsu" had some weight in the hand, but the "Stile" felt weightless, it was that much lighter than the "Engetsu". I have seen the specs which say it weighs 210 gms, but I have also seen people who say they have weighed theirs at 145 gms. I believe the latter to be correct. I am going to sell most of my ABU reels now to pay for this one, though I will keep my up-specced 6500c and my up-specced sm1600c. I am converted! LOL Have you reviewed this reel?
