Art school teaches you to have your own approach this is why they say paint what you see! Art is creativity, it’s not duplication! Some for you to think about unless you’re in graphic art versus art

So true and good! I struggle with making a portrait the wrong way and not knowing what's "off" about it. Then I look at it in a mirror. Ugh. The structure is all wrong. It looks skewed.
Hey Beth, don't lose hope 🙂it takes time to develop the ability to see and draw anything accurately. It's easier to start with simple, basic shapes (like a sphere and a cylinder) so that you can get some victories and build confidence. That will help you see the basic shapes for what they are, not think of them as a portrait 😊are you looking into the Evolve program?
