Can it be unlocked to 28+mph? I'm looking for an emtb for gravel/fire road riding but I want 28mph minimum assisted speeds. A bigger battery would be nice too, but I can live with a 14ah.
It is setup for 28mph. 😀
Love these videos…great information.
Having the Dyno is awesome. Great content
im sure youve been asked this a lot but wow on the weight loss. new to your channel. did all the ebike riding have anything to do with it?
No it did not. Significant health problems caused a change in diet which resulted in the weight loss. It was a side effect (albeit helpful) of the only food that seems to make my body function - red meat.
Could you test the Juiced bikes? Many of them, including my own also use the bafang motors, these are hub motors, but I’d like to know.
1:16 that's because generally ebike regulations seem to only want to limit the continuous power and don't really seem to care about peak power.
I've own several e-bikes, all of them have been rear hub motors. I'm shocked how many miles I can get out of a chain, presumably because of the reduced strain on the drivetrain because of the hub motor. I would think the inverse is true on a mid-drive motor, especially a torquey one like on the Falcon. What are your thoughts about that?
You are pushing more power through the chain, potentially leading to more wear. We use SRAM for this reason, they have slightly larger rollers and have proven to have better overall lifespan.
There is nominal and peak power
Nice vid. What does it equate to in terms of N.m.? Thanks 🙏
About 47NM
💯‼️💙
You I'm sure could answer what continuous motor rating means. My 500W fat tire folder peaks at about 720W. So is the motor building up heat above 500W being pulled & cooling when pulling under 500W? Nobody I've heard has explained heat build up & how much abuse these motors can handle.
In "theory" the nominal rating is a number in which the motor could run continuously under standard operating conditions (a hot or cold day for example) without failing. The failures are typically caused by heat, yes. So anything you do to keep the motor cooler therefore turns up the continuous rating. 😎 as an example I run ferrofluid in my trike motors and have no trouble running them over 2kw, peak around 2.5kw. Without it they recommend 1800w or so.
Could we could get a Wired Freedom on the list? I've got one if needed for a test you game?🍻
Bring it by.
I need help figuring out what type throttle goes with my electric bike controller could you make a video or contact me

Hmmm...M560 is way lighter than the M620...w/o sacrificing too much tq. So If I have my own frame (on the way), do you offer the M560 motor, controller, display, etc? (You're gonna say absolutely not, I don't want your money! 😂) Either way, thanks in advance.
Doesn't use the same mounting points as the m620
@@Area13ebikes Correct, was comparing tq/weight ratio of the two.
12 speeds and that ridiculously low gear seem like overkill unless you live in the Alps. This bike would be superior with 9-speeds, aluminum frame and a $500 lower price. IMO carbon is for the featherweights, and if the bike already is in the 50 pound range a couple of pounds is incidental.
The bike would not be superior with an aluminum frame and 9 speeds. Cheaper yes, superior no.
Opinions, opinions...
Honestly what is the point of these dymo tests? The performance of Bafang motors are well documented and vast majority of e-bikes sold are Bafang. The only difference is the controller.
So you knew before these videos how much torque and watts all these bikes actually put down? 🤔
Where? In Europe bafang has little market penetration, it's dominated by companies like bosch
Gee for the price you are asking, why not buy a small motorcycle?
Hey area 13, can I have an e-bike I'm poor😢
In other words bigger motor lazier rider.
