Beautifully said, what drove me to the Catholic Church is exactly every lie from every Protestant out there. My favorite lie is Constantine started the Catholic Church and brought pagan rituals year 325. Simply reading history that’s proven false. Then they will claim Catholics meant universal not an actual church. That is also false and history can affirm that. Good luck with your research. Things Bible only Protestant don’t do. This is typical egotism. He doesn't glorify Christ first. He glorifies his own mind. He didn't say anything about Christ or how to follow him. He merely boasts himself.
Must be going to some bad ones or I am just stuck around a lot of good ones in South Dakota. Catholic, fun vibrant church, so many ways to worship and glorify God and demonstrate his love. Keep looking and/or start your own fellowship of believers. Caution on tearing at others path to faith. Not everyone will follow your journey because God calls them to their own way to him. Everybody not in prison doesn’t “practice Christianity” be if you did you would be a criminal in all 50 states. We both pick and choose which rules we follow from the Bible, I just choose to ignore it altogether and you ignore the parts you dislike.

We are saved by grace, through faith, living faith that works through love. Meaning the spirit is in you that allows you to do good works. You my friend obviously do not have the spirit. How can you love god that you have not see. If you cannot love your brothers in Christ. You shall not give false witness against your neighbor. Saying Catholics or orthodox are works based religion makes you an idiot or a liar. God gives us the 2 Thessalonians 2:10 they are lost because they refuse the truth. If your intention is to spread the gospel of the word that became man, you need to speak the truth. Also note a Catholic by name is no different than you showing your cross. You will know them by their works. Why are the church fathers important? They fought for our rights to be Christians without a Bible. They helped choose the Bible that you claim Catholics don’t follow. The reason Protestants hate them, because they were witnesses to the apostles and thought things that you later tried to reinterpret; Example child baptism; approved by all the major reformers, they quote the church fathers in the 3rd century. You want to know? Get a book and read, or simply ask us instead of assuming. Why we identify as Catholic or orthodox, read church history. Many so called followers of Christ came about, we used the word Catholic to be separate from the heretics. So buddy Catholic means universal follower of Christ, keeping with the teachings of Jesus through his apostles.

A lot of internet preachers don't read the actual Bible and change the verses they do read to fit their own personal ideology.
