I'm having such a hard time coping with life, being a new mom. I've lost faith in the church and sometimes to God as well. But I realized that i am so lost without God. Catholics entire religion is bible based. If you in fact believe in the bible it would be impossible not to be Catholic. You should read the early church fathers, learn about the didache, and what church looked like before the Catholic Church compiled the bible (yes the bible you have minus a bunch of books that have been taken out are originally COMPILED by the Catholic Church) Google who started the Catholic Church. You will have your answer.

I'm not Catholic. I have many issues with it. However, this is a great sermon.
I was just reading the comments. Father Mike is special because he is human like we all are. And he shows Jesus as God really is: The answer to our human frailties.
I feel so lost in life! My struggles and pain has been there for years now! Everyone else seems to get out of it and encounter Jesus but not me! I cry out yet nothing happens! Lord forgive me and bless me! And I pray everyone else struggling finds Jesus and lead a happy life knowing Jesus is with them always!

I wish Fr. Mike was in my diocese when I was growing up. Would have not made so many missteps and mistakes.
Jesus is coming back soon. Heavenly Father please keep me and my boys same from evil. Please pray for me and my children. I’m so discouraged. I’ve had people come against me that do not know me. And say my testimony isn’t real!! But OUR HEAVENLY FATHER KNOWS the truth and my heart! Prayers are all I truly NEED and want. Jesus hear my prayers. I still trust in you and will keep my faith even though it is so very difficult at this time. I’m constantly faced with hardships and can barely support my two sons and myself. After losing my job for declining the vaccine. I’m a single mom and I’m discouraged. Both of my children are autistic. I am working so please don’t pity me. I’m just not making enough to get by. I know God doesn’t give us more than we can handle I will keep faith even though I truly want to give up. Jesus hear my prayers and keep me and my kids safe. ❤

Hey, fellow Christian here, vaccines aren’t bad. Please dont lose your job because of false convictions. Vaccines have helped for centuries, look how they helped yellow fever, the flu, etc. What makes this one different? Evolution is perfectly fine and normal and advances in healthcare are GOOD. There’s a reason you have to get vaxxed to stay working because they are trying to contain the sickness. there is absolutely no proof or evidence that the vaccine is bad, only good evidence pointing towards positive results. use some logic and the Holy Spirit God bless (please please vaccinate your kids)

Thank you for giving me the help I needed. Not that I have any doubts about my faith in Jesus and the Church, it's a family thing that I have dealt with for a very long time. I forgave the person years ago, but it is something that rears its ugly head every so often. I've come to know that this person was one of those people who was a self believer as you pointed out in your homily. I feel much better for hearing you speak about this.

I couldn’t agree more. He speaks with such joy and enthusiasm without skipping over the more difficult portions of scripture. His homilies are always in accordance with the true word of our Lord Jesus. It is so clear to me why God chose Fr. Mike to be His.

Set your fundamental choice after studying fully well your religion.
Then form a godly character. Start with developing true humility.
Then putting together study (intellect), Godly character and true humility- just believe heroically being ready to die for your conviction, your faith.
Stay in that without doubting. Just fully stay there... till the end of your life.
Know how to truly pray. Pray always.
Know from pope John Paul's apostolic letter on the Rosary.
It'll help a lot in learning to be truly humble, to have a Godly character and an unfaltering faith.

I think Fr. Mike's correct that the doubters knew themselves. Perhaps they were preoccupied with the implications on themselves. It makes me think of the power of doubt and how insidious it is at subtly getting in the way of real experience. Years ago Henry Cavill went to Times Square during the ramp-up promo to Batman v. Superman. There he is on enormous screens, his face as Superman. And there's Henry, on the street, with a Superman t-shirt peeking out of an open button-down... and no one recognized him! People believe what they expect far more than even what they see. This is why the exercise of faith is such an important challenge, and we see in the passage how important others' testimonies are in exhorting us to better faith. And perhaps the most important teaching for the whole world today (at around 9:15) "faith is a real relationship with the real God."

first seek the kingdom of heaven ; Matthew 6:33 . The verse that starts off my day ; whether that consists of listening to gospel music , praying to the father (Our Father Prayer) , or just stepping out in faith when I don't feel like going out for the Lord our God will always be by our side . Submitting thyself to Jesus Christ and his spirit ; "I allow you to enter my mind (with your words) , heart (with your love) , and spirit (the Holy Spirit *my best friend*) and have your will done over my life . AMEN always seek his presence to keep a steadfast faith in the Lord our God , remember even through the storms he is present ; maybe just sleeping but he will not let you fall he will keep you upright with his righteous hand / right hand , Amen .
How do we even have hope? That is my question. I have had it with this world and the tyranny of the culture of death.
Dr. Mike, what can I do if I was married for 15 years, divorced ( don’t qualify for an annulment ) and I’ve been remarried for 7 years now? confess my adultery weekly in confession?
I love Father Mike and most all of the SEEK presenters. Often I hear this message about forgiveness and it poses a difficult question maybe some of you could answer.
Can one forgive another who never repents?
I.e. could the woman have forgiven the soldier that day if he had looked at her with an unrelenting smugness?
Could she have forgiven him if he continued to victimize her or other women? No repentance.

You forgive because of yourself, so you can be clean before God. We don't always get the same in return...As White Pine above me said, Vengeance is the Lord's.

I've been a devoted Catholic all my life. All I see in the world is division, devastation, death, and suffering. How could a good God want this for His faithful? I'm done believing in fairytale stories. We're all on our own in life. The proof speaks for itself.
I think our life on earth is a test. The next life, in Heaven, is our reward. 😊
People have freedom of choice and some choose evil. Our Lord never promised life would be easy. So, it is in these times we are called to stand fast and carry our crosses. It is now that we are called to stand tall for Christ. Don't allow the failures of others, and the successes of Satan, to discourage you from keeping the faith and being a becon of Christ that leads others to Christ.
