    I have just got myself a GSXR 750. I have only been riding for about three months and everything you have said is totally correct. It is all about experience but mostly self control. You can have a fast bike, but you don’t always need to redline it.

    • @RoosayCapdet
      @RoosayCapdet  Před rokem +8

      Exactly! But don’t get me wrong from a 600 to a 750 is a fairly descent jump. But both bikes are still very fast and just as dangerous. So like you said it’s up to the person how reckless you wanna be

    I started on a GSX-R 750 K8. In the beginning torque kept me humble, so I learned how to be gentle. I ride that same bike still, I love it and I don't feel like ever selling it, it's my bike. If you can contain yourself, you're good to start on it

    I got myself a Gsxr 750 2012 as a first bike. The sound, the feel, the power. Its the best thing ever. Have i sped? Yes. Did i do it in a schoolzone? No!
    Know where your limits are and speed safe.
    I love my gixxer. And I do not regret a second that i bought it as my first bike.
    I had zero exp before this summer.
    10/10.

    Started roughly a year and a half ago on my stepdads 2000 GSXR 750. Moving on to a street triple 675 soon now to mellow out a bit while having a good time.
    You *can* start on it but its not a good starter bike. You spend majority of the time respecting the hell out of it or acting a hooligan, and I do think compared to your 300-500cc counterparts, the 750 rider is going to take longer to get the basics down as the threat of the throttle never goes away. I will say however I have a very good throttle hand now.
    If you're in a situation like me where the 750 was genuinely the best option money wise (was 18, 20 now) then yeah its doable. But if you have options, absolutely wouldnt recommend it as a starter

    As someone who owns an 06 gsxr 750 and a 17 r1, the gsxr is my baby, the r1 I take to bike shows or days where there's absolutely no traffic. But the 750 is my "daily" if I decide to ride instead of driving. Perfect balance of course with a mature way of thinking.... end of the day any bike could kill you

  • @AC-Ninja
    @AC-Ninja Před 7 měsíci +1

    No judgment at all... I considered starting on 600 but I got a ninja 400 and could not be happier w the move. It's SO light and enough power for me for sure.. Esp for my riding style and perfecting riding technique.. Unless ur trying to do straight highway high speed rips then it's def not for u. But riding style matters and i really enjoy leaning it over and hitting twisties in here in PA.. its so dam fun. Next bike will either be R7 - RS660 or my dream bike growing up.... The gixxer 750 😁

    I started on a K6 750. It was the easiest bike to learn on outside of the scooters we road in Motorcycle Safety Class. I started with limiting 1st gear to 4k. Then a month later 5k, then so on and eventually when I hit 12k I was an expert at riding. You can start on any bike, the throttle limits your own limitations. If you cant control your throttle you deserve to crash.

    I have a bobber that I love but I want a second bike. Jumped on my buddies r3 and was VERY disappointed. Good bike but not what I expected AT ALL. The price difference between the 600 and 750, you might as well get the 750.

    • @RoosayCapdet
      @RoosayCapdet  Před 14 dny +1

      Yeah 300 are not bad bikes by all means but definitely would out grow them very fast unless you’re constantly taking it out to the track or the back road. Then you could push it to the limit and really test yourself. But that is true! The 600 and the 750 are practically the same price! Might as well get the 750 for more bike!

      Tbh brother it’s all up to you. I have a buddy that 6’1 and just as heavy and rode a 600 perfectly as a starter and said it was a lot of fun. But a 750 will defiantly be much faster obviously. So regardless if you want a 600 or a 750 I think both bikes will do just fine as long as you respect both.

    Provided very self controlled person--- if just want to ride around basics on a bike you can start on an M1000RR lol.... but if you want to develop a deep skill set without bad habits even a 600 is a horrible first bike as so much will be dedicated to controlling that beast rather than riding it and tweaking errors. if you want to be an advanced rider the start small and really work on dialing in fundamentals is sound advice.
    For someone lacking self control any sort of supersport or hypernaked is absolutely a bad idea, but there's an argument as well to be made that a lack of self control type is going to hurt themselves on anything. Just all depends.

    I got a 2019 tuono 1100 v4 rr lmao the bike is always fucking angry. And I am not going to lie it is wayyy too much bike for a first timer. However that being said the electronics have saved my ass at least twice now I got it with 2200 miles and I paid about 2k less than a brand new zx6r otd. Zero regrets, I love this fucking bike.

    Personally anyone with any riding experience like dirtbikes n that understands street bikes turn a lil differently I’d say screw it go for the 1000 lol 600s barely lose traction and won’t pop up unless you want them to.. nothing to be scared of tho they can get to scary speeds.. 1000 your gonna run into traction problems and probably power wheelies I chose a busa n it was stretched all it does is spin n I’m pretty happy with that choice things a rocket

    ok i have a dilemma here. either a 2014 600 with 32200km. or a 2007 750 with 26900km. lets say im a new rider, done a lil before, but not alot.
    bike will be used to drive with friends and drive alone to relax and have a lil fun, also thinking about maybe go to race on track with it eventually.
    im not much of a agressive driver, i like to take it calm and sometimes go a lil fast in safe and known roads. cuz i know a lil more speed doesnt really save much time anyway. not worth the risk.
