Let's talk about what's important here: the popped collar.
Unimaginative Bear 😂
Lol. Your moniker is spot on in describing you're cognitive skills mate - unimaginative. There's great info here and you can only focus on the collar? Come on man!
Lol you just made my day
ha, exactly what i was thinking. Maybe I am getting old.
Abercrombie flex
"Build it up to twenty sets of ten in twenty minutes. That is just a strategy for fat loss, abs and just total destruction of your soul." ...endurance weight lifting-that's inspiration with a big smile!
Yeah I laughed real hard at that 😂
Mate! I’ve recently found your channel and I must have watched around 30 vids in two days because I’ve just got into learning Kettlebells and your channel is pure gold. I wish I could have you as a personal trainer.
I’ll second that.
Toast 🥂 to this
Mate, I'll third that!
i agree. i'll stick around
Totally agree . This channel is pure gold!!
I realy enjoy your fast "no bllshit-approach" - brief information v.s. artificially bloating playtime as most others do these days. Great!
Well said, Georg! I could not agree more with that assessment.
HA! came to say EXACTLY this, but here we are...
you'll have abs everywhere.. and shoulders and stuff...
Came down to write this. Made me lol! :D
A very precise sentence tbh, cause youu get ripped everywhere, you find out that even your forearm gets shredded. Abs literally everywhere.
I dont mind looking like a Greek god
Ofc your shoulders get their own abs too
😂😂😂
I'm just starting my kettlebell journey.
Glad I found your channel. Enjoy the way you present it Mark 👍
I really look forward to these kettlebell insights, there's so much good information!
Thanks Mark. I were about to start my kettlebell journey. Glad to watch your step by step videos & your videos helps me alot
One of the most informative videos out there in this field. Thanks so much.
With being stuck at home working out in my garage, I unintentionally have started to become a kettle-beller. I had no equipment so the easiest thing to do was to go out and buy some kettlebells. No benches required, just the kettlebell. I've been studying and programming my own workouts and much of what you are saying jives with what I "thought." This video helped confirm what I "thought" to now, what I know & more. Very good and informative commentary. Thank you!
This channel is awesome! You literally made me to start kettlebelling. I am following Jack Black's "routine" right now (my sets/reps).
Oh goody, another new one. You really are excellent, Mark.
Good video, straight to the point, no bullshit, no ads, just points.
Well done sir
I am a retired sheep shearer in Australia. Trying to stay fit as a semi retired 74 year old. You look well, no drugs obvious and comfortable in yourself. Now I remember doing some sums when I was a fit and skillfull shearer and crutcher dragging 65 tonnes ( we do metrics here ) of. Struggling large crossbreed ewes across a board to clean their bums in an 8 hour day . This is not exceptional by the standards of the day, indeed we have shearer’s in Australia and New Zealand who train like you do who could probably double what I did at my best in my late 30s.find it interesting that there are many ways to be your BEST.
Good stuff. I dragged my kettle bells out today and started using them in my garage since my gym is closed. Now's an excellent time to polish up my kettlebell technique and shed some lbs
I learned more from this than the last bunch of videos on the subject.
Thanks, Mark!
Love your videos. You post exactly what I’m looking for, exactly when I’m looking for it.
Your channel is growing. 10k subscriber since you been back. Keep it up.
This has the best hand gestures of all the Wildman videos, especially the karate chops to the bottom and corners of the frame.
The curtian-opening sweep at 0:46 is impressive.
Really helpful to re watch this Mark I watch all your vids and do the drills but get overwhelmed at times so great to go back to the basics
I'm here right now for the exact same reason. Just going back to the basic, effective stuff.
Your videos and logic are simple and easy to follow! Thank you!
Mark, love your stuff can’t wait for the app
Kettlebell workout surprised me, it’s my heavy set item for lockdown 👌 just recorded my shoulder session and I agree that volume is key, especially on dynamic movements
Interesting content. Keep them coming. Thanks for sharing Mark.!!!
I love this guy.
I'm learning so much.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Blessings and more blessings to you and your family
I have been getting the gut feeling lately that kettlebells will be a great addition to my workout routine. Your clear and detailed explanation confirms that. Thanks for your advice and expertise!
Surprisingly my upper body gained a lot of muscle from swings. Lats, traps, forearms...
Thanks Mark. I would definitely buy your on demand kettlebell program if you do one. It would be great to have all your expertise and experience in one easy to use place
Watching your stuff in middle of corona season. I’m so happy that I bought my kettlebells just before the corona hit.
I’m learning so much from your videos. Please do more kettlebell stuff!
kmdan I also got my kettlebell before Corona hit us. Now, the online stores are empty and KBs are close to getting the next toilet paper :)
I've been buying them now and it's 3 weeks minimum until shipping!
@@Davidsworldtravels damn that's a long time!
"Watching your stuff in middle of corona season."
Hey, drinking beer in the summer is a great way to add those pounds.. in the waistline :)
Your hand movements are funny. This is why I subscribed. Good stuff.
Thanks for the knowledge. I stumbled upon your vids last week. It is helping me and my wife with strategy and understanding forms and fundamentals. 🙏🙏
Love the use of hands and arms in explanation. Info packed.
At my age (59) I now shoot for 220 snatches in 10-12 minutes with a yellow comp bell. I'm 5' 4" 150 lbs. Back in 1999 I was up to two poods and weighted 170 and 200 snatches not timed.. These things are a life long tool for saying in shape, I wish I would have had them when I was in the service, and your advise.... . Great videos!!!!
So the trick is to do the main exercises for a long period of time ?
Thank you for your service!!!
What’s the weight of the KB you’re using?
@@snehalkrishnan618 If he's using a yellow competition bell, then it's 16kg. If you are new to kettlebells which I think you are because you would have known what weight he was using......then I'd suggest you go lower and get a 12kg and perfect another exercise first like clean and press or just press because the snatch is an advanced exercise.
you are a fuking beast !!
This has really given me some though in to my own training. Thank you for this video, it was extremely useful.
Hey Mark just thanks. I have a list of your videos in my CZcams that i save for future use or go back to, and I hear things new or am reminded 6 months later. I love it. I started w KB about 7months before the shut down. Got lucky and scored some decent low grade bells in a discount store(ugly gray functional Weider brand- so far no need to spend more, yet). Figured why spend a ton of money before I know what Im doing. So far it's worked out. I was able to add a few more durong the shutdown. And my set is complete for a while. It was a long year but im so stoked I had a jump on KB and found you BEFORE it all. I am hoping to add clubs(adex and your beginner recommendations) within the year just to add another dimension since with certain joint issues the barbell will never be my friend and i want stable movemnt anyway.. So...im all in with KB as I age. And Im so dang grateful for you making it so accessible and possible for ME where Im at. And i think that's the coolest thing about you..besides just seeming like a nice smart guy. You make this feel really possible for any of us newbies, and for me in my age group, as a woman, that's not how I was raised. Just not the message i got growing up. So Im learning from the bottom up..Learning around chronic injury issues, .and just soaking it all in. I just want to be stronger and stable as i get older. So thank you Mark. My deepest sincere appreciation, from the bottom of my heart, for you being a decent kind human and teaching us how to use KB and self program(or be able to try). Just always grateful for you and your work...every time i hear you. And you make me laugh. 🙏😂
Happy Thanksgiving ! Thank you for teaching! Your videos are the best !
Mark as always thank you for these great videos had me chuckling all the way through and even harder at 3.54.
Another good video Mark. Wanted to change up my workouts and purchase a adjustable kettlebell for Christmas Not knowing what really to do with it Came across your channel while I was looking for a kettlebell routine Like your approach and explanation Again. Great job and keep it going
Jeff
Your videos are so amusing and informative. I like your style
You're on fire. Just keep turning out awesome video after awesome video.
Appreciate this! Was looking for more info about kettlebell workouts and fat loss.
Thanks so much my man! your tips and insights has improved my KB workouts greatly, all the way from Cape Town South Africa
Glad to help
Awesome as usual! Thank you for your efforts! 💪🧠
I love the no nonsense style. Great videos
Your are absolutely right Mark! This is exactly what I did! You know this stuff well. Thank you!
My girlfriend has been asking me for training tips and technique questions. I am acutely aware of my ignorance in this arena and this channel has become my go to advice recommendation!
Tracy Riefkind and Strong First have some great resources here, I also recommend Chris Lopez Pat Flynn's channel.
Gail Owens1972 - appreciate those recommendations. Thank you - I will check them out
I love your simplicity and logic...
"The physique of a greek statue with a booty of steel". I'll think about that during my next snatch training :). Great video as usual. Salute!
I have the body of a god, unfortunately, it's Buddah - but I'm working on it.
@@brianbailey6138 lol you are so funny! Love from France. Cheers!

Buddha isn't a God but that was funny anyway Brian
Also, "The" Buddha was the skinny one with weird feet.
The big, jolly one that people think of is Chinese monk Pu-tei (with the non-steel booteh)
Sorry for further ruining your perfectly fine joke. :D
Funny part of the video...except he used a Renaissance statue from Florence 😂
Love your content mate
I am fat, and have A LOT of weight to lose. The old Marine buried inside of me was sold when you said "...total destruction of your soul.".
I am a fan.
Will you do a vid with a recommended workout for beginners? Good work on the vids, clear and sound explanations in all of them.
Yes, soon
Hey Mark, great video. In relation to programming, how often should I be doing a specific movement per week, and should I be sticking to EMOMs for the most part. Thanks, love the channel.
"total destruction of your soul" and statue of David with a kettlebell crotch, LOL! Good channel with a lot of info, as I'm moving to home kettlebell workouts during the coronavirus.
Just so much information in all your videos, I'm a real nerd for knowledge and I could listen to you for hours, days!
Thats all I needed to know, awesome video, thanks 🤘👍
Greek statue, buns of steel , I’m in . I’ve added kettlebells to my yoga and home pushups and it really made a difference especially in my lower body I’m 6 ft 195 lbs , 54 years young and in the best shape of my life 👍🏻 thanks for all you videos Mark WM
Hey Greg , after 2 Years what's your thoughts on kettlebell
@@oscarbear7498 kettlebells are great , still using them it keeps me really fit as I age !! Simple and in my living room
I've trained with barbells, dumbbells and kettlebells for many years and I can honestly sign everything he said. For barbells, the best factor to modify is load. For dumbbells, it's a wave pattern of load and repetitions. For kettlebells, it's definitely volume. Not necessarily reps per set, but overall volume no matter if you do it in clusters or in standard sets. I don't really find it sensible to go really heavy with kettlebells more than once a month. Volume and precise movements with a moderate weight goes a lot, lot, further than simply a really heavy double kettlebell workout.
hi! could u put a routine exercise example?
Mark, any chance for some Kettlebell training from you during this corona outbreak? Can't go to gym so I found your channel and it seems like one of not many who knows what they talking about :). Just some simple routine to save muscle (pack a bit maybe if possible), bit of cardio all in one or something.
Just ordered a pair of 16kg kettlebells. I need that booty and abs everywhere. Now I gotten a bit stronger with them, bought a pair of 45s and soon will upgrade to 55s. The training really hits your core hard as you need to tighten up everything when doing a workout like a simple overhead press
I feel like it's possible to build good amount of mass through the usage of only kettlebell training by slowly adding heavier weight and with the combination of bodyweight training (aka calisthenics). You will build hella lean ripped muscle and mass and if possible get big as long as you eat a healthy surplus of food and importantly rest
Love the hand movements!
I’m definitely a hand talker
3:50 - "That is just a strategy for fat loss, abs and just total destruction of your soul." Mark 'Soul Demotivator' Wildman :)
Not sure what it was about this video in particular but by far my favorite I've seen from you. Stick that in your analytical pipe and smoke out another sick kettlebell vid, thanks!
These videos are fantastic. Any chance we will see a video in the future where you go over a training program that incorporates the 6 main KB movements in the 10sets in 10min format?
Did you ever find some programs? I love these videos but I end up doing the exercises and just guessing how many reps and sets.
Great breakdown
I Love this Channel... subbed. Greetings from Germany.
Seriously, seeing my traps in the mirror, I worry I might wake up as a sailboat the next day.
Favorite soul-crusher of a workout: 25 minutes of the 3 main carries interspersed with 1h swings and burpees, bridges and hamstring stretches when fainting. Just returned from one.
"You'll have abs everywhere!" Late to the party, but what a find, Wildman! Thanks for your content.
"Will you look like Schwarzenegger? No." I always thought the goal should be to get "stronger than Kazmaier". Arnold was pretty but . . . not very useful.
You are the first coach I have seen on youtube talking real world sense that ordinary people can use without hype, ego, and hawking useless products.
Thanks for this video!
Great content!
Are there any moves that are particularly well suited for rehabilitation and mobility?
this dude is the best. for real
I recommend this video everyone around me asking how I'd lost all that weight without having loose skin, bcs this was the video what motivated me get into kettlebelling. TBH, I myself at some point was terribly worried if something is wrong with my health for I had been burning fat unexpectedly fast. but when I look back, I very well remmember how all those squats and cleans were crushing me. Process still on-going and I still have a long way to go. But I trust the process after all.
Thank you Mark, for encouraging me, and many other people not being a "you're doing that wrong bro, wrong tehncic, wrong techic!" guy at the very beginning. Beginning matters. And this video is the very right place.
What's your workout look like?and how many sets/reps?
@@rjnd4503 ty
Kettlebell is really an interesting equipment for fat loss. Lots of benefits in one.
Kettlebelling gives you incredible foundational cardio. Back in 2012 I did my first Tough Mudder, all I did was a "300" kettlebell circuit and hill sprints as my training, the event was not that difficult
This is gold!
Pro Kettlebell comp bells and magnetic chips make it very simple to microload! 💪🏽
I almost bought gym equipment and wasted a lot of money. I’m glad to have found this page before anything! I actually dig the movement and discipline of KB and bodyweight training. I only carry 6lbs and 15lbs being a beginner. The other day I managed to finish 3 reps each of TGU! 🎉
Excellent. keep up the good work
"Total destruction of your soul." Ain't that the truth. Haha!
Mark, you mention starting with 5 sets of 10 to begin with. Which movements would you put together as a beginner workout? Would you split the 6 main movements into two different days or all 6 in one workout? Looking for a starting point I guess
Swings are the king of kettlebell movement and the building block for so many other exercises in KB. Start with two handed swings, a good start would be 5 sets of 20 reps or 30 seconds on 30 seconds off for 10 minutes. Then keep it simple at first, do shoulder presses up right rows, round the worlds for upper body. Squats and dead lifts for lower body. Russian twists for core etc
Thanks... I always wondered what a kettle bell physique would look like
I am 55 year old guy who wants to lose weight and feel better. Would working Swings, Clean and Presses 2-3 times a week, along with the goblet squat progression using a simple 5 X 5 until I get the form down. And then add to each over time to build up to 10 X 20 work. Of course using progressions you have laid out in your videos. How would you pair that up for 3-4 work outs a week?
Very helpful. Thank you!
I struggled with 24kg kb. I was new to just kb training now im using 65lbs and 75lb kettlebell with ease.
How long did it take?
Excellent and relevant information conveyed without any BS! 👍
I just don’t understand why 35 people have disliked this video 🤔
King tiered content
love the approach of your videos and the info. but any chance you could release a full Greek God work out and rep scheme?
I'm sitting here as a 5'11" man that weighs 140 lbs wondering, "Will working out with a kettlebell give me muscle development."
Of course it will. Why am I looking this up?
Get on it man, you won’t look back.
Yes. Yes it will. Useful strength too not bodybuilder strength.
if you are 5'11 and 140 lbs, even just eating will build muscle, even if you didn't exercise at all.
Sure it will but since you are on the slim side be sure to focus on correct form before going heavier. Patience is gold
i just switched to using only kettlebells. previously i used only dumbbells but from kb workouts my body is shaping up better. and enjpy the movements much better. 😃
Thank you. I'm starting with Kettlebells this week.
how is the training going Kev?
@@theseusc.5475 Not very consistent. I'm staying with the light Kettlebells more frequently. I'm happy with how my shape has changed so far.
I have one question Marky Mark, is a snatch a "more complete" clean or they are fundamentally different? I say that based on time I have at my disposal to workout. If I have to choose between the two, would a Snatch do a better work for training those muscle groups you talked about in the clean explanation or not? Thanks, your content is top notch.
they both do full body/posterior chain but in different ways. the snatch is harder tho. cleans are great for double kb work, and snatches are better done single kb
Love it!
Total destruction of soul. Nice. Ok. Gonna get off the couch, put this on bigger screen and get some coffee and check on the dogs and make a list and watch this again.
Awesome video
Amazing content.
That greek statue clip got a genuine laugh out of me.
Mark if you were going to do a "purely kettle bell" regimen would you chest become developed? Should you throw in some pressups into the mix as well? Thanks
it would go better to add press ups
Thank you!........🙌🏽
As an aspiring twunk, I'd much rather look like a greek statue than Schwarzenegger so this reaffirms my confidence in kettlebell training. Also the comment you made about having great abs and an ass of steel sold me even further
If you are new to fitness, lifting and building muscle, I have one fundamental advice:
Watch you diet.
Building a solid physique is like drawing a painting. The workout is the brush you're drawing with. But you need to put paint on that brush to draw anything and the paint is the food you're eating.
Without a solid diet, working out won't bring you visible results.
"A strategy for fat loss, abs, and total destruction of your soul." Sign me up!
Excellent. I imagine that the 18 down-voters so far don't and won't have abs everywhere, nor anywhere. MW, you're a true kettlebell professor and your vids are much appreciated.
You mentioned sets of 3 in the muscle building section, I thought 3 rep range was more for strength building and not muscle gain. Would you recommend sets of 3 or more sets of 5 for muscle gain? Soz if that's a dumb question I'm kind of a beginner at this
