To expand on the tankless vs. heat pump water heater comment - The tankless units are smaller boxes that usually sit on the wall. They use a lot of energy instantaneously to heat up the water very quickly, so that if basically gets up to temperature as it's going through the piping in real time. Heat pump water heaters work more slowly and more like traditional tank water heaters, but have the energy savings combined.

5:32 you’re wrong. You have to minus the monthly charge out of your bill first. You pay the monthly charge even if you use no electricity.

You're most likely right on some bills. For the sake of time and giving a rough figure, that's what I went with.

Nb if u r building a new home most the rebates aren’t applicable!! Also ALL. Indications are the current heat pump models will not even last the length of their warranty . These are far more complicated use cheap compressors/ parts and even if under warranty NOBODY will repair them !you MUST factor in premature REPLACEMENT costs on heat pump water heaters otherwise u will just have a traditional energy guzzling electric water heater I doubt you can find ten owners on all of utube that have heat pump water heaters that have lasted duration of ‘warranty,”don’t get me wrong in w
Arm climates when can locate in garage no brainer for those in cold climates it’s a different calculus .

Of course it works for you-you cna put in garage and presume you are in a warm climate. PLEASE ALWAYS CURN YOUR ENTHUSIASM FOR THSOE WHO are in diffeeent climate.
