बहुत अच्छा लगा। एक बार उनसे पूछा गया था कि दूसरे संगीतकारों के कौनसे गीत उन्हें पसंद है? उन्होंने कहा कोई भी नही। तब उस शख्स ने कहा हुसैन जी हजारों गीतों मे से कोई तो गीत होगा जो आपको अच्छा लगा हो तब उन्होंने कहा बर्मन दा का मेघा छाए आधी रात। फिर उन्होंने कहा यह गाना और भी अच्छा बन सकता था। वाकई हिन्दी फिल्मी गीतों मे राग पातझड़ मे यह शायद एक ही गीत है। मेघा छाए आधी रात बैरन बन गयी निंदिया

Excellent presentation on Great Music Composer Ustad Sajjyad Hussain Sahab with well researched script. Its not a simple thing to have a mastery over more than 20 musical instruments. There are very few music composers like this. No doubt Sajjayd Hussain Sahab was a very talented music composer as evident from the immortal songs he gave to Indian Film Industry. Apart from whatever observed about his personal nature, He was a perfectionist and honest man man in his work. My tributes to this great music composer. 👍🌹🙏.

One of the instrumentalists of "Yeh hawa yeh raat yeh chandni" was a sitar player, who later on was bestowed the title of "Pandit." It is said that he played one of the notes incorrectly in the song. Whenever Sajjad Sahib heard that song, he cringed at the spot where that note appeared. This also shows his nature as a perfectionist. His name should be entered in The Bollywood Hall of Fame, if at all there is one.

I met Sajjad Husain's son Mushtafa....he made it very clear that owning a non hunting dog is haram and we never had a dog at-home. As confirmed by people who were present at Naushad Sahab's place have first hand given information Sajjad Husain did mention in his essays that "such names can only be given to dogs". When Naushad Sahab was confronted on this he laughed. It is true that Naushad did send money to him when he was very sick during his last days. As per Lata Ji's testimony she says "he was the only one music director I was scared of" very strict. 🙏

In my younger days, whenever I listened to a song, the first thing I used to look for, was the name of the music director. This was how I came to know about Sajjad Hussain when I heard 'Saj dhaj ke samjhane aaye.. in the voice of Rafi sahab.
Sajad Saab ke baare mein itni acchi aur rochak jaankaari dene ke liye Tehdil se shukriya ji....Itne nekdil,sache aur sabse ziada woh apne fun yaani mausiki ke Badshah they..lekin is sab ke bawjood unke sache aur neki ka badla iss Bollywood mein nahi mila jiske woh Haqdaar they....Aise shaqas duniya mein bahut kam milte hain....

Ashutosh Shirish: Sajjad Husain was Genius . He was the only original Music Composer in Indian Film Industry. He had mastery in playing 26 musical instruments especially Mandolin . The only Mastero who could play Hindustani Rag on Mandolin & in fact any western musical instrument. He couldn’t get any work after Mega Hit Iconic Musical Hit “ Sohrab Aur Rustom “ reminds me of a Talented Batter Andy Sandham who wasn’t selected for any Test in spite of scoring a Classical knock of 325. Sajjad Hussain wasn’t egoistic, he respected himself.
सज्जाद साहब जैसे सच्चे कलाकार को सहन कर के भी काम करने और अपने प्रतिभा का संपूर्ण आविष्कार करने की स्वतंत्रता हिंदी फिल्म इंडस्ट्री दे नहीं सकी यही इस इंडस्ट्री का सब से बडा दोष है. नहीं तो ऐसे बहोत से कलाकार आगे आते और भारत को और भी सुंदर संगीतकार, कलाकार मिलते.

@@teo-dv7zg yes,for a very good reason.He translated Baudelaire's poetry in to Kannada.In that book,he wrote a long preface on Baudelaire,his life,his values and his poetry.There was a streak of Baudelair's absurd personality in Lankesh himself.
