बहुत खूबसुरत गानोद्वारा गायक और संगीतकार हेमंतकुमार का परिचय ! मराठी भाषामे उन्होने लता मंगेशकर जी के साथ ' मी डोलकरऽ डोलकरऽ दर्याचा राजा ' ये गीत हृदयनाथ मंगेशकर जी के निर्देशनमे गाया था । उस समय महाराष्ट्र के नासिक शहरसे प्रसिद्ध होने वाले साप्ताहिक 'रसरंग ' मे छपा था की , इस मराठी गीत+संगीत का बंगाली भाषामे अनुवाद होकर ये दोनोने ही बंगाली गीत गाया था । उस गीतके रेकॉर्ड की १,००,००० प्रतियाॅ बाजारमे बिक जानेसे उसका भी एक रेकॉर्ड बन गया ।
हेमन्त कुमारजी एक उत्कृष्ट गायक और संगीतकार थे। लेकिन इन सबसे ऊपर वह एक उत्कृष्ट सज्जन व्यक्ति थे। जो आज की दुनिया में बहुत दुर्लभ है।

You skipped to mention that Hemant da was appointed as a music director in the Hollywood movie "Siddharth" directed by Conrad Rooks. Hemant da was a victim of conspiracy in the Bombay film music world which forced him to leave Bombay. He was a very sober,humble , kind and down to earth person with sweet personality and devine nature.He is a great son of India.Many many salutes to him. Thank you again very much Antara ji JB

Hemant Kumarji was one of my favourite singers right from my childhood. I used to sing his songs as each song had a unique beauty about it. Little did I know that one day I would have the opportunity to meet him. When I was working in Mumbai I had been to my bosses house and when I was in the Lift, it stopped at a floor and a person stepped into the lift. He was looking quite simple and dignified and it was no one else other than Hemant Kumarji. I was stunned and happy at the same time, as he looked at me and I looked at him and both smiled at each other. But within seconds we reached the ground floor, the door opened, and he walked out, and so did I. He was in a great hurry and I could not talk to him. I cannot forget that incident.
