- In this 3rd part in our Heeltoe shifter comparo for the TSX/Accord/TL, we look at the K-Tuned unit. It is a complete billet replacement shifter box for the stock until. An impressive bit of design and machining! I actually install in this video, as well, providing a little more meat and potatoes than in previous videos.

Did you or anyone else ever find out if the mugen shifter will work in the TL application? Ive been watching your shifter comparo's since part 1 (been a long journey haha) thanks for the info. You've helped me out a lot. can't wait for the stunned review.

Love this shifter! I have the adapter and I'm not a fan of it so I'm gonna order this for my TSX this week! Can you guys post that TSX and the mods you have done?
Why would you cover it? I would cut out the center console to fit it so have the stock center console but can see K-Tuned beautiful billet designed shifter. Just seems like kind of defeating part of the reason for putting in there. Yes main reason for better shifting feel but the look of their billet shifters is really a major part of getting it. Just looks like a regular boring stock shifter now.
I haven't even had a look at it yet, but just to see if anyone knows, is this the same shifter they use in the 8th gen accords? I can't find any info on how to actually install a new shifter on one and I'm hesitant to start taking apart the damn thing and spending money when I have no clue how to do it.
Some people have said that it doesnt go into 5th after installing this shifter box
I have not experienced that at all. I really like the K-Tuned shifter in the TSX. Works great!
I have the hybrid bushings and the ct short shifter on my Accord. I'm not sure how much more "notchy" I'd want it to feel for daily driving. Anyone have this? How does it feel?
It should not feel more notchy at all. I've been driving with this shifter in my TSX for more than a year since this video and it's been very smooth.
@@Heeltoe. considering my current setup, what characteristic do you think this lever would change about it?
@@Corkoth55 It would probably feel more solid, maybe a little more hefty feeling. The throw would be a little longer but then you could adjust that to your liking.
@@Heeltoe. if I could adjust the throw to be as short as the CT short shifter makes it, I would definitely consider this in the future. Thanks

I have a Acura TL that does not shift out of parking when pressing the brakes. I replaced the brake light switch and checked all fuses and were all fine. Do you think I’d have to replace the whole gearbox with another one?
Hi! No it is not likely the gearbox is the issue. You need to have a professional diagnose this.
HeeltoeAuto took to a shop told me it was the solenoid in the shifterbox
Where can I buy this shifter?
Is there any option for upgrading the shifter cables for the TSX or is oem our only choice?
At this time we know of no upgraded shifter cables for the TSX.
So Mugen is pronounced moo-gen as I've learned now thanks.
Many Americans can't pronounce it right; they pronounce it as "Myu-Jen".

Mugen's official company name is now M-TEC, but the MUGEN brand name remains.
How can the throw be adjust after installation?
You simply adjust the joint at the bottom of the shift lever. Make it longer to shorten the throw.
