Solitude is great (I'm 72), you can eat when you want, sleep when you want - fart when you want - and put yourself first. It all adds up to good health.

I choose freedom to be me. I took early retirement cause l made disciplined choises. I had, had enough of the Matrix. I love living alone...the chill of it. I went out at 6am ...to get a good coffee and sit awhile watching others running in stress. My home is my sanctuary chapel. I cleared allot of stuff so l could breath, easy cleaning. Simple, joyious smart living. Standard Experiences ...await me. Amen

@carriemarshall6008: You shouldn't burden God too often with your talk. He also certainly needs time for himself without having to listen to the constant chatter of others. Because: he created man in his own image. So he too has the same needs, strengths and weaknesses as we do.

Many people don't know/realize the huge
    difference between ISOLATION and
    SOLITUDE.
One is usually forced on a person.
The other is a welcome relief from the
hustle, crowding, noise that is a major
    part of most people's lives.

Pascal said that all of our miseries derive from our inability to sit quietly in a room.
Wordsworth wrote "The world is too much with us.... Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers"
Many great artists and thinkers have benefited from periods of isolation.
    Sometimes voluntary.
Sometimes as a result of illness or imprisonment.

At the end of the day it’s about understanding human nature, patterns of behaviour and character flaws. Being true to yourself is key. I learnt a lot from my mama’s behaviour before she passed last year. She seemed to crave solitude. I guess she woke up that all those ‘people’ she worked tirelessly to keep in touch with really weren’t worth it! For me it’s not really about who attends your funeral service, but how you’re treated in the living years. Most importantly how you are remembered by God alone. Like I said to someone a while ago ‘ If you’re not part of the solution you’re part of the problem’. OKay you have a point, some marriages work better when there is distance, sometimes it’s better when the parties like in separate lands. I guess that would be my option.

It does not mean that if you prefer solitude. …you are selfish or that nobody wants you! On the contrary after being in solitude you have more energy to help a cause that you really care about because you know your purpose in life….if you are constantly socializing…all the noise….you get little time to think in depth…..socializing often is exhausting and disturbs our peace….you can be around people all he time….achieving nothing but gossip….try to understand the message of the video before criticizing its content….be open minded….not critical….if it hits you…maybe it’s for YOU!

Respectfully I disagree, loneliness and alone are 2 different things, an alone individual will socialize with people when the opportunity presents itself, however a lonely individual will abstain from it.
