  • The Coleridge Way is a 36 mile walk, starting from the beautiful Quantock village of Nether Stowey, the former home of Samuel Taylor Coleridge, a poet and philosopher, who lived here in 1794.
The route then tranverse's the rugged Quantock Hills, then crosses the lovely rural Brendon Hills and onwards across the heather moorland of Exmoor to reach Porlock, on the amazing Somerset coast.
Follow Alan Casey as he takes you on a wonderful journey through some of the most beautiful scenery of North West Somerset, a landscape that inspired a, 'Romantic Poet'.

Hi guys, just an update on this walk. Since I walked this route way back in 2005, it has been extended to a fantastic 51 miles. Now you can walk along the coast path to Lynmouth with wonderful views. Maybe I will do it again soon and re-film it with my new digital camera. Happy walking, Alan.

Alan, thanks for his lovely and informative vlog. When do you complete this walk?

Hi Lorraine, thankyou for your lovely comment. This walk was completed back in 2005. But don't worry about that. The walk and the landscape dosen't change, ( apart from the seasons). I walked it in May, I think. I quite often do my walks now in July, because it's not normally to hot, sometimes drier and not too many people about so accomodation is easier to find.
      Have Fun.
