  • Mini Documentary on the plight of Alfoxton House - Also known as Alfoxton Park in Holford Somerset in England where the revolutionary romantic poets Coleridge and Wordsworth spent years composing and reciting and exploring. Presented and written by myself and beautifully filmed by local film maker Andy Legg. The Music is a magnificent original score for the Coleridge Poem written in the area - Kubla Khan. It is composed by Richard Hill. The house is now near derelict but is a national gem which should be a grade 1 listed building...it was in recent years hotel called Alfoxton Park .

Thanks for the video. It's deplorable that such a crucial literary site should have fallen into disrepair. The government should spend some money on its renovation.

I have had a number of messages with regard to a crowdfunding campaign using my film to raise money to make the place a literary international romantic hub

My mum worked here in the 60’s she always talks fondly about it. She lived in Rotherham South Yorkshire, saw an advert in the paper rang them up and they asked her to start the next day. She borrowed the money off her mum and travelled 13 hours getting there by train bus and taxi. Braver than me at 21.
