    Thanks for this awesome overview, great to see the overall software is getting quite powerful and responsive. While i suspect 95% of people will never need or try to adjust any settings, the other 5% are going to be well pleased.

    Thanks for great video. Just missed some evaluation/conclusion at the end. Overall, what do you think of the new sw (especially compared to the old one)? Thanks and good luck.

    Is there a way to always show your estimated SOC of arrival on the map when using the build-in navigation, and so you not always have to go via that side-menu? (Similar to Tesla e.g.)
    Thanks!

    I have heard the battery pre-heating optimization in the Enyaq 2024 is only applicable to the iv80 and above and not the iv 60, can you clarify! thanks

    Did anyone know if the new ME 4.0 would be on Enyaq 60 MY24? Thanks in advance

    In your opinion how big of an upgrade is the 4.0 software? Used enyaq/ID 4 are quite cheap now, but is the 4.0 software worth buying a brand new car?

      Sadly VAG seems to do here the same what they usually did some years ago: if you want a new software, but a new car. On my older Audi there were just 3 software updates and they didn’t update it when it went to service, they said newer units would have the newer, but not the older ones (same hardware).
      Then I buy a Tesla and I see that older and newer cars get the same version and updates…

    Well, Skoda's strategy seems clear: buy a new car to have features from 4.0 when second-hand prices for 60s and 80s are starting to look good! I was hoping that Skoda would continue to update to 3.2 at least for the 60 of 2021 ... but I'm still waiting and no clear info.
    It would have been nice to have at least one version with manual battery pre-heating for early adopters.

      I imagine it's difficult to make changes in older software which runs on slow hardware. That kind of software must be specially optimized and it's much less scalable. I hope new operating system will allow for updates for a long time.

    • @ricarmig
      @ricarmig Před 4 měsíci +3

      @@Lascarnnit’s not fully right. Software 4.0 is more optimized and for older hardware, they don’t need to include all the features that need more hardware. But Menus and options work fine on older and newer hardware, so those can be copied. Only animations, 360 view and a couple things may be difficult to implement as more RAM and chip power is needed. Everything else…can be brought over.

      See classifieds. There are plenty of these and, at times, by a factor of 10x more affordable :)
