    And still no word on when Skoda will bring back pre-heating of the battery on cars with 3.x firmware...deafening silence despite several social media campaigns and a petition with MANY Enyaq owners signed up asking for proper firmware support....

    The curve from the id7 is similar to what most Tesla with NCM and some LFP batteries have; the Skoda and most other EVs from the group have a similar curve to the Blade LFP batteries have: lower power but for longer periods.
    I find a higher power up to 60% the best option as on trips you arrive to the charging station with 10-20% and you want to charge fast up to 60-70% to start driving again.

    Many greetings from Greece . Very useful channel my friend. I have a question if you can help me . I'm thinking of buying the 85 Enyaq for taxi use ! If we must charge it to 80% for longer life of the battery , witch is the real km range in strictly town use with heat pump of course. Thanks.

    Do anyone of you know if the head up display navigation (the AI blue arrows) work if you navigate trough google maps in android auto?

    Thank you very much. Why there are two completely different charging curves on the same battery size? Are the battery modules different? Different chemistry? Modules from old ID.3/ID.4 had LG NCM712 cells, does ID.7 has something different? Can you ask VW about this?
    Also, when can we expect the Pro S ID.7 with the bigger battery?

    • @pieter85
      @pieter85 Před 4 měsíci +3

      In Europe there is CATL & LG Chem (+ Samsung SDI in the past?) as battery supplier. SK ON is the supplier in USA. I think the big difference is that the ID.7 has a better cooling system. It's probably all NCM 712. But not every NCM 712 is the same.

      @marcohillenga5068 Před 4 měsíci +1

      These are CATL cells, they can’t take as much current as LG does, but they can endure a high current for longer. Whereas LG can get a lot of power for shorter periods.

    85X has different charge curve. Different battery chemistry probbably the same as your ID7

      ...and the VRS too! 175kWh charging!

    • @Foersom_
      @Foersom_ Před 4 měsíci

      Yes, also my 80X can charge with higher peak. When battery at 25 C it can charge at 155 kW, at 30 C it can charge at 174 kW.

  • @thomasnowak7604
    @thomasnowak7604 Před 4 měsíci

    The Enyaq 85x has up to 175kW charge capacity - that looks more like the ID7 curve you show. do you have any insight on the differences between 85 and 85x?

  • @maverick2368-n7u

    Do you expect the id4 4motion 2024 (so 175kw peak charging) to be more like your ID7 or the GTX 2023? Will be interesting to see which one!

    • @ricarmig
      @ricarmig Před 4 měsíci

      Independently of that, most manufacturers should try to intensive use and develop LFP batteries: they are cheaper, more cycles and soon will charge up to 200 kW and for a longer period. They have less density but for most use cases it’s enough 60-70 kWh.

    Does the 85x have the same curve as the ID7?

    does this mean that an Enyaq 85 loads faster from 10%-80% then a Model Y? czcams.com/video/M6vPSZT63aY/video.html

  • @Foersom_
    @Foersom_ Před 4 měsíci

    "From 11%" A test like this should better start at 5%, some EVs charge faster when charging below 10%.

    • @enyaq_gorm
      @enyaq_gorm Před 4 měsíci

      The enyaq charges faster from 15% 😊
