Bdubs be like: don't mind me, I'm just setting up a precedent on the building techniques the building community will use in the next few years. Seriously, you're making history and one of the most impactful builders in the Minecraft community.
Take notes!
Bdubs our God King 🤴
@@ValtorixAndSocion warbreaker?
I think the term we need to start using is Master Builder, becuase Bdubs is beyond normal minecraft play.
Bdubs and Scar are Minecraft artists. I try to absorb some of their building opulence.
Bdubs is to building as Etho is to redstone, setting the standard, true innovators
You mean "Bdubs is to buliding as Bdubs is to redstone" right?
@@pinakijana9479 Nah Bdubs doesn't do redstone, he does prettystone!
@@pinakijana9479 no, etho is the builder. Taught bdubs everything he knows
@@lomiification Bdubs was a literal buildy guy, he knew how environment messes up buildings before he even touched minecraft, not to say that etho isn’t a good builder just to say; why the need to compare
@@nvrmndlvm it's a joke from when bdubs said (on empires smp) that he taught etho everything etho knows about redstone.
I was a bit skeptical about the texturing at first but after seeing it all done I think I’m in love! Gothic beauty 😍
Yo lowres big fan bro!
Good to see you Mr Res
The white terra cotta made me sceptical too but it really works!
Bdubs not killing the dragon is going to be a running gag from now on 😂
Like ethos unharvested clay on chocolate island 😄
my man bdubs will be clapping dragon cheeks in the next episode trust me
Oh yea it's such a new thing..
"I have promised for a long time we are going to go kill the dragon. That WONT be TODAY! No no no no no no no no no nooo" 1:39
"Who said I'm stalling the dragon fight? Who said it. Somebody in the comments said Bdubs stallin'." 6:53
"But Bdubs! When will be, THE day that you kill the dragon? It will be this Saturday." [March 4 at 2pm EST] 21:20
He has a love for horses, so I can just see his dragon fight stream actually be horse breeding for max stats stream 😆
For years it's always been "Try and make sure your build doesn't look flat" and we're adding stairs, slabs, walls and all manor of blocks to avoid incredibly flat looking builds that don't look as good.. Then Mr. BDoubleO comes out here all "Oh ya, hold my drink" and totally just starts flipping things on its head.
You see massive rendered images of wonderful sculptures all the time from Minecraft, but what you see here is just so much more in my opinion. You truly are an amazing artist, and I look forward to all the wonderful things you will build and create for us to marvel at.
This is it. He’s making a perfectly square tower look better than anything I’ve seen lately
He is taking the pixel art ppl do. The massive buildings of people’s faces and stuff. And using it for a different purpose. The thing is Bdubs is thinking most of his builds will be viewed from afar majority of the time. Thus making it look amazing up close loses it purpose if ur never close to view it. It honestly makes perfect sense. He can do so much with the build. But the purpose of the build is to hold 1 dragon egg lol. So the probability of him actually going to said build is pretty slim. Yes he just spent like 2-3 weeks collecting materials and building it lol but he shall view it from afar majority of the time. I think he should put an end crystal at the top and the egg within the tower itself. That way there’s some movement to the build as well
The way "learning to paint" and "studying Elden Ring architecture" has melded together in your building style is beautiful. Truly an evolution!
Yeah you know, I was just thinking this reminded me of Elden Ring castles
It reminds me of shadow of the colossus, guess its similar.
@@FINsoininen Definitely similar! I just say Elden Ring bc I know he has mentioned it as inspiration in the past
I also thought of that due to the fact the bridge looks a lot like the bridges to the towers of the demi-gods where u get the great rune
I don’t like elden ring
I know it probably gets less views than his other series, but this is easily my favorite series of Bdubs... Probably even my favorite series on youtube. You're a building pioneer, Bdubs!!
I agree I really love this series

Ya and I hope bdubs realizes that his most loyal supporters all came and probably love this series the most out of all of his videos

bdubs is just The best builder/artist in Minecraft. Just a privilege to be able to watch him create his art. On top of that, he is also a great entertainer. Always happy to watch his content, amazing stuff!!
I absolutely love how Bdubs has started using pixel art drawing techniques in his builds. It's the 2d/3d combo we didn't know we needed.
I think Scar should get Bdubs to help him with his castle in Hermitcraft. The two best builders, collaborating on one massive, majestic build
Yes
While the outcome of these two collaborating would 100% be amazing, I really feel like scar doing it alone will be something more unique cause he is stepping outside his comfort zone. Would not vote against a future castle collaboration though.
Love seeing all the ways your using gradients and texture to make the builds really shine! Have you considered adding some custom ‘texturing’ to the terrain under the bridge to make it look darker like it is shaded! Maybe the trees you add surrounding the bridge can be a bit brighter using oak, and under the bridge using dark oak but with the same style to really push the shadows!
Sick idea man
I once had an idea to use different shades of grass in different biomes as shadows.
That does however require something like WorldEdit.
What a great idea!
Also maybe vines and ropes hanging between and under the arches
yo big fan of your pfp ;)

Bdubs: Releases first Building With BdoubleO episode in four months.
Me, bearded, grey, blind in one eye, clutching a cane: The Gods were listening after all.
I really like the moss look in the column. As an idea for why it's mossy, you could add a rain detector in the top of that column that opens to a water source block. That way, when it rains, there's one spot on the bridge where the rain seemingly runs off and it goes down the column by the moss. It would be like a temporary waterfall that only comes out when it's raining.
For anyone who was wondering why bdubs hasn’t uploaded his pov in limited life, he said in a stream that he just wanted to have fun. Like this comment not for my benefit, but for others who are confused why he wasn’t posting.
Thanks, I was putting together a playlist of all of the POV's,and I couldn't find bdubs's, glad I know why.

@@superiorchedder7914 sad, but makes sense. These types of series seem like they can be difficult to film since the don’t have a structure and is pure fun/role play
@@lightningleopard8877 yeah
Bdubs the orange streak is genius. Really helps the eye process the rest of the hidden colour instead of letting it blend out. You're a master! Very excited to watch you run away from the dragon sometime in the next year and am eagerly awaiting the livestream. Thanks for your wonderful episode as always.
he really did it... he made diorite look beautiful
He's allready done it like 300 times smh
The Diorite castles in Building with Bdoubleo season 1, Hermitcraft season 6 and the starter house in Hermitcraft season 7 is probably the best he has done with Diorite.
diorite is the fanciest 1.8 stone
Bdubs is an artist in every sense, and I agree with him: this build will be remembered. But my gosh, can we just appreciate the music he used for this video?! gorgeous. Magical. Absolutely loved the atmosphere it provided. As if this world of his isn't already beautiful enough, dude goes and adds a whole Disney animation soundtrack to it.
I feel like I can't have nightmares anymore, ever again, just cuz I watched this video.
the build literally looks perfect. you are a true master at building
The build did not disappoint!! The balance of each level is perfect. Love the double row of windows with the cathedral type arch above it. I’ll ever be impressed by the way you paint with blocks. Can definitely see the fruit of your time in “the lab”.
So many gems in that commerrrrrrcial break…”web destroyer….the Chanel of blah blah…the hottest thing since avocado toast…move over Kardashians…” 😂😂😂
Thank you for being such an inspiring person. You’re always pushing the boundaries and teaching me something new.
I spent a solid minute or so staring at the thumbnail. You are such a good builder, how well all the blocks work together, the depth from using walls and the texturing is amazing.
I think an extra cherry on top for the Dragon Egg display is to replace the carved stone brick piece with a lodestone. It makes it feel just that extra bit special, not only because it's a valuable block but because I think it really looks like a great display pedestal, it's basically an upgraded version of the carved stone brick, and it even has a flat surface on top which makes it perfect as a display block to host the Dragon Egg!
Probably my favourite minecraft build of all time. I come back to this video every so often just to admire it all over again. The cherry on top of it just being a spot to place the dragon egg is amazing too :)
I love the pillar with the vines and moss growing up it, makes it look like its been there for years and nature is starting to reclaim the area. Looks great!
Beautiful old castle, for sure. Fantastic shapes.
Just one point though about living castles and how they different from castle ruins; living castles, when people still lived in them, usually were "perfect and flat" - both up close and from a distance. Cracked stones or cracked bricks were replaced for structural integrity, and many/most castles were scrubbed and whitewashed to be pristine and white. Whitewashing partly protected the stone against weather damage, but mostly protected the mortar against crumbling. Castles that weren't whitewashed usually had perfectly fitted and carved stone so that the tight seams would protect the mortar.
Older castles, neglected castles, and castle ruins definitely show moss and grime and cracking though. This is also all real history and not a fantasy game, but sometimes real history can inspire 😉
Interesting, didn't know mortar was so much in need of protection from the elements. But you would not leave a building without plaster, so it makes sense.
@@seregruin Medieval and renaissance mortar certainly was; modern mortar... they've figured it out. Most (all?) of the remaining standing castles have had their mortar replaced or touched up over time.
Bdubs is the only youtuber I've pressed the bell on because he doesn't upload too much but when he does you already know it's gonna be a great time
I’ve always wanted to see BDubs’s take on Breath of the Wild. He’s never struck me as much of a Nintendo/Zelda guy, but I feel like he’d have a lot to say on how the world is designed, the visual story telling in the ruins, and how the landscapes were crafted to guide players’ eyes
yes please!
I'm just sitting in my chair alone in my room with a giant smile on my face in sheer awe at the beauty of these builds.
Your approach to texturing is nothing short of masterful. Truly upping the standard every time.
I have never seen builds as beautiful and unique as these in my life. Bdubs is a true artist.
Yep, that's a gobsmacker. This sense of scale is incredible, and I love it. Something about it reminds me of the buildings you might find in the Dark Souls games, or Elden ring. They can really make you feel tiny when you have to crane your neck to see the peaks.
Also Bdubs, It might be really nice once the city starts filling out to start your timelapses with a small cinematic shot through areas that are already done. Kind of helping us get a feel for the world as the new build pops up. So for instance the tower timelapse 17:41 started at the bottom and followed you up, but maybe could have started near the house down by the river, or near the moss factory. Just a small Idea!
Fantastic builds man, I always drop what I'm doing and come running when you upload :D Much love
He mentioned in one of the early episodes that the art style of Elden Ring had impressed him and he wanted to take ideas from it for this series. And he's nailing it.
I love the technique of the darker gradient in the windows and ground. It reminds me of when you wash miniatures and it always looks so neat to see in a game
you are so phenomenally good at building. the scale on this is jaw dropping, and your texturing and use of colour palettes is amazing. thank you
This is really something. You're really stepping into the role of an artist, the work you do with texture is the kinda stuff I could imagine seeing in an art exhibit. Great work.
Having that tower in the back ground almost looks like you photo shopped it in. Like its a back drop on an old movie set. So good.
This is what I always wanted to build but never could, massive, gothic architecture that is awe inspiring from a distance and harrowing up close. This is beautiful in every way I feel a build like this should be. This is pulling some real darksouls or elden ring imagery. It is stunning. As always, you amaze Bdubs!!
I was wondering where you were, and it turns out you were out here making monuments to future accomplishments and being humble as always! ;D
Jesus bdubs that building may be your best yet. This series is your best by far. I hope you continue it at your own pace, each episode has been so incredible
Yay! This series has been helpful for my own world, so I'm very glad that I have another video that I can learn from. I've made a similar pathway in the nether that needs arches.
Gosh. It's just a bright sunshine spot in the day when these videos post. What amazing production. What AMAZING building. What amazing narration. You are a master of your craft and brighten my day!
I didn't think I would ever say this about a Minecraft video but I sat through this entire video with my mouth wide open in disbelief. Truly astonishing what you can achieve with cubes.
The bridge gives me Shadow of the Colossus vibes
That texturing is soooo cool. Even when the build was still just one pillar my jar dropped.
I can't believe I'm actually anticipating an ad, when I just skip it most of the time. Bdubs, you the best! Much love.❤
The awe of this build is just indescribable👏 Bdubs is revolutionising building in Minecraft with his texturing
Not only is this an amazing build, but it takes some serious dedication to do it in survival. Especially when I'm sure everyone would be fine if it was done in creative. A true hermit and an inspiration to us all. 😅
And without an elytra too...
Wow! The moment you flew up the building with the free cam and got closer to the tower i got goosebumbs all over my body! Truly a build to remember for years! Thanks for all the effort you put into these Videos!
So glad this series is back! I was also a little worried about how this structure would fit in with the things youve already built, but seeing you walk from tje villahe and seeing it peek througj everything... Yeah, not worried anymore. Its amazing!
bdubs is carrying the minecraft community on his back
seeing bdubs build fuels my life ✨
Talking of things that will be remembered Bdubs your Hermitcraft 7 starter house and the video you made about it will be remembered as well, I made so many builds like it and I see a lot of other's builds inspired by yours on social media
BDubs, it’s like you’re a impressionist painter, using digital square blocks as paint. Love your work. So inspiring.
I don’t think Bdubs has ever missed with one of his builds, and he really outdid himself with this one. Keep up the great work buddy!
Ok fine, that build was epic and something I really wanted to see beside the cliff you made (the cliff that now looks tiny coz of the massive structure you did) love the splash of rust on the main tower and the windows... i do really appreciate how you treat your builds as paintings.
All that positive things I've said does not stop me from pokin fun at you delaying fighting the dragon xD and being a web destroyer nice job AI
That roof on the tower does a great job of catching the eye!! Perfect place to put a big egg, if ive ever seen one. And the whole thing is superb, you've outdone yourself!
Fabulous choice of scale and palette for this build. I'm very excited to see what you do at the base of the columns to tie it to the ground beneath.
It’s been a rough night and building with bdubs is exactly what I needed.
Just FYI it is INFURIATING that Bdubs is in Limited Life but isn't publishing his perspective lmao.
Absolute gigachad move to get a spot on one of the most popular SMP series, a series where perspectives are almost guarunteed to bring in new viewers, and be like "nah boys, I'm just playing for fun."
WOAH fantastic build!! amazing stuff w the texturing and incorporating the depth, it's so impressive! love this series so much, both fun and helpful :D
The bridge reminds me of the bridges to the Divine Towers in Elden Ring. Looks great!
I myself, who have complained about the lack of building with bdubs videos, will speak for all us complainers and say; WOAW well worth the wait :-) I mean Etho will always be number one, but bdubs is coming in as a close second :-P
The "Bob Ross" of something is being thrown around a lot these days, but this series really feels just like having art theory, love the build and can't wait for more!
I don't use this term very often but "epic" is coming to my mind when I see this building. Well done, sir.
Beautiful Build! And KUDOS on the Editing... the timing of the music in the timelapse - to come in perfectly with each vertical piece going up was So Attention-Grabbing!! Looking forward to more. 😎
This build feels so Elden Ring-y and I love it. It reminds me of the Liurnia Divine Tower. Such a dope build fr
Big Elden Ring vibes.
why arent you uploading limited life?
Love the timelaps with the vertically appearing towers. Great editing
What would _really_ sell the scale is making a good bit of that lowland area into a wide river, and connect it up to the bay by your old house.
wheres the limited life videos?
Watched it 15 times already, can confirm this is a certified spoonkid classic
whats up spooners
Can't wait to see where this goes! Would love to see a little river or creek running/splitting between that mossy column!
Bdubs we’re all GAGGED you slayed this build like…. You are the moment
Seeing it from the village reminded me of when I first played Elden Ring. Seeing a similar bridge to a tower in the distance, and far beyond the Erdtree sat. Really amazing as always.
This could not have come at a better time. I've been binging gradient and texturing videos and none of them really helped me understand like this one did.
This build is so beautiful. Up closer it reminds me of a Florentine cathedral and from further back the texture and shading are just amazing. And I really love the darkened stone and moss at the base of the pillars. Gl fighting that dragon :D
I like the new style texturing being able to include realistic elements without jarring the viewer. (more green blocks in darker, wetter areas, more gray/sunbleached blocks in areas exposed to direct sunlight.) this style is a true innovation bdubs
gives me vibes from the walkway to the temple in shadow of the colossus, looks stunning, always amazed by your building techniques.
I love the inside peak into that obviously brilliant mind of BDubbleO and getting to understand how to change your perception of building
This is incredible, I feel like continuing the level of detail on the main tower to the columns would make it look even better.
So good. Love to watch more texturing lesson videos. I love the evolution of Minecraft builders. Nice work on the tower.
This is so inspiring. I just finished building a castle that I'm proud of and you were my inspiration for it. Now I want to build another one
Now THIS is how to build mammoth builds with amazing texturing. I've always been sketchy about giant builds that look great from a distance, but when you get up close are just a visual mess. This, however, is a beauty no matter what distance. Love the careful thought and planning that went into this.
If this is only part of your city, the rest will be truly legendary!
The grand scale at which you build with such ease is just ridiculously impressive. Definitely one to remember. Well done Bdubs.
I was starting a project in this same style in my survival a couple of days ago and I really think I'll apply what you recommended in the video, thanks and in any case your constructions are always wonderful
I am in love with this build!! I am always learning more from your videos!! Although it would be a lot of work, I think a river running underneath would look amazing, and possibly give it a sense of height along with the houses.
I’m just constantly in awe of what you are capable of as it seems you never have a ceiling. 12:37 I am shocked at how tiny the mountain you built is, when you first built it I was astounded at how beautiful and majestic it was. Now it’s just a rocky 1 tree knoll.
Bdubs is probably one of the only people where a comparison with Bob Ross is justified. I just love the way he paints on a large scale with creative block choices. Nobody else does this like him, at least as far as I know
Sir you are SO good at building. You can take a large rectangle and give so much detail, life, and texture to it that it looks SO wonderful. You're really talented at expanding and testing the limits of block pallets. Really amazing stuff Bdubs! It all looks so wonderful!
Gorgeous! (and the build is nice too!)
But fr I can’t get over the tower man it’s all just impeccable! Love it! Makes me want to start building again
i love how you're texturing now. it's giving huge impressionism vibes, and im sure there's people who hate it, but this is changing the game. i can't wait for in another 10 years, everyone making mega builds will be doing texturing similar to what you're doing now
Epiccc, really enjoyed the timelapses!! And really looking forward seeing your area becomes a bit more cohesive tho.
Absolutely amazing, you have been my favorite minecraft creator for years but this is a totally new style of building. I am learning so much
Beautiful build! I felt at first that close up might be not so nice… but when you are close other details draw my eyes. So so so well done! Your builds inspire me to consider weathering/wear and tear on buildings in my own worlds. Your Minecraft art in survival is super impressive!
ooo i love the pillar with the green/mossy texture to it!! this is amazing
That's the absolute best texturing job I ever saw on Minecraft, your work here is unparalleled !
my goodnes youre one of the best builders on the internet. Youre texturing skills are just on another level. So inspiring
