Minecarts can be read by a comparator if they sit on a detector rail.

11:36 Two of those hopper lines aren't necessary if you use hopper minecarts. Only the fuel line requires hoppers. 18:23 Use a detector rail to make the comparator work with minecarts. Of course this makes it hard to control when the minecart is released, so most people put it on a slant and use a fence gate to stop it from rolling away until it's ready.

For the super smelter fuel would repositioning the chest so that it hovers over 2 rails instead of one help it collect more? Not a redstone stone person just noticed the clay chest is hovering over two rails.

for the silos you should put trapdoors each floor to replace the scaffoldings, this way you come from the top, you could fill entirely each floor with mud and don’t have to worry about breaking the middle scaffolding, and once you are finished with a floor of clay, you open the trapdoor and go down to the next one

This was such a good series! Little confused though.. is there no natural generated ore or something? Don’t understand why someone would spend hours asking people for a single diamond when you could quickly just go branch mining safely and get a whole stack of diamonds in no time.

I think the most efficient fuel is lava buckets. Impulse has loads of spare from his smelter and has a drip stone/ cauldron farming endless lava so he doesn’t run out of fuel. You can have a small lava farm like that behind your furnaces and link it up probably!

Hey Bdubs! The uneven distribution on the furnace array on the first one is because the diagonal track makes the minecart collide with the hopper before acctually being on top of it. An extra track should fix it.

Super duper excellent redstone skills Bdubs! BTW, I'm pretty sure that Pearl can show you how to lock the hopper minecarts in place until they're full. Not sure about when you try to use a minecart with chest XD

@BdoubleO100 you can actually compare how much is inside a mine cart using a detector rail and a comparator, I've built systems that release only full mine carts in the past (for super smelters and other systems). You gotta get a bit creative with the setup (store the minecart on a rising track, held back by a fence post, so it will start rolling when the post is retracted with a sticky piston). It's actually quite easy to build and very satisfying once it works :D
