Bdubs charging through Etho's base, yelling profanities and nonsense has already become a staple of the series and I love every instance of it.
It happened while they were talking about Bdubs too lol.
He is literally Kramer from Seinfeld as I believe Etho pointed out

I see Bdubs as more of a George (constantly aggrieved) and Scar as Kramer (insane get-rich-quick schemes).

I love how they spend the entire episode fundamentally misunderstanding the game of chicken
lol yeah, almost nothing they did was chicken after the zombie incident. they also didn't seem to realize that all they had to do was have two people chicken out quickly to let others win. but it's whatever, all for fun.
That, and the book said more than three wins. I feel like their comprehension started off poorly and just got worse and worse over the course of the session.
Technically they all failed 😅 due to the MORE than three games needed more than anything else

Bdubs, Scar, and Impulse casually discussing the mechanics of a game of chicken, suddenly interrupted by a shouting Jimmy relentlessly chasing Smajor who slowly fade into the distance, quickly followed by Gem running past informing them that the sky is purple, the beat of silence, then Bdubs, Scar, and Impulse just continuing like nothing happend.

Secret task idea: this idea has two tasks
Task 1: You are X’s shoulder angel; follow them around and try to make them be nice.
Task 2: You are X’s shoulder devil; follow them around and try to make them do bad things.
Both X’s would say the same person, so this person would have two people following them around telling them to do conflicting things for the whole session

@@olegfedorov3225 he was with pearl IIRC and they didn't get involved until near the end, even so you'd expect at least a scene or two of them hiding like she included, IDK I think it's a very bold choice to not even reference the biggest event in the season so far, especially when his povs are some of the longest and tend to be pretty comprehensive. I love it as a creative decision but it's pretty unusual.
26:53 Bdubs still has his spawn point set at Etho's place from the last episode. From Grian and Etho's perspective, he basically just randomly appears in their base yelling about Scar.

Bdubs persoective of his death is so brutal. From 30 to 0 in less than a minute
They were in the zombie spawner and I slowly went "wait... doesn't Bdubs...?" followed immediately by Scar knocking him in. That was so brutal, lmao. I'm glad so much retribution happened to Scar after that lol

I think what Scar did was really terrible. He honestly behaved like a dick. IMO he should be punished for that. At the very least he should lose a live and bdubs should get one back. But really, I think he should be banned for the rest of the season.
Okay I'm mad for bdubs too man but jeez they're all friends and its not really a competitive gamemode its just for fun and content, the social aspect is what its all about. I think scar shouldve helped him out and definitely apologized more profusely instead of laughing at bdubs and wondering why he couldnt get out with hitboxes blocking his vision. They probably should've negotiated between themselves for a death to count as a point, but to be fair bdubs did choose the spawner knowing it wasnt a low damage challege.

The choice of where to end this episode is EXTREMELY funny. Woo, Impulse and Scar and Bdubs all got to succeed their task! They all won, triumph for all! What's that about Grian and Etho unleashing a wither and a warden practically inside the Mounders base? What do you mean Scar leading a wither in circles through the mounders base for like ten real minutes while Pearl and Bdubs hid for their lives in Pearl's mound? What's that about three people out of the series for good? Don't worry about it it's the end of the episode and everything is great :) :) :)
I like to think of it as bdub's revenge since he was ranting to etho about being cut out of his video for the ender dragon fight 😭😭obviously I know it's all in good fun and it helps to incentivise viewers to watch other POVs, but now I want Etho to rant to bdubs about it next episode lol

There was a moment after the death and Bdubs said "Maybe I should guess your task!" where he actually moved to the book and then moved away. There was a part of me that thought he was going to wait until the competition was over, after all the damage had been done, and then call out Scar's task, so it all would've been for nothing, and I would've loved it.

Might be, but they were playing chicken to cause damage. And all Scar did was to raise the chicken stakes for Bdubs. Though, Bdubs should probably have won that round as he took the most damage, therefore the others chickened out first with less damage.

I love how they dropped the chicken competition altogether after the first two and it just became a competition of random stuff lol
I think you technically *could* have gotten out of the kill-channel since you had a water bucket on your hot bar, but that is a very difficult realization to make when suddenly under extreme duress.
Scar would have died in there too, even if his whole inventory was water buckets.
It also looked like he was critting the zombies, and being surrounded like he was normal sword swings would have let him survive a little longer.
Though it might have been knockback from zombie behind him, which would have been out of his control.
I don't think I've seen the definition of chicken stretched this far before.
Did you watch the "Guess the Build" challenge? Hearing Impulse laugh at Scar for interpreting "chicken" as "actual chickens" was hilariously ironic considering HE interpreted "actual chick" as "a woman".

i honestly love how ready bdubs was to take his revenge out on scar. i say this fondly: scar’s not always one to recognize the gravity of his actions without at least a little retribution. i loved the hilarious mixture of teamwork and dirty competition between impulse scar and bdubs. this session has been a blast to watch.
I really hope Bdubs gets the most GLORIOUS revenge against scar!

I think they literally could have just worked together and said something like we’re gonna do nine rounds of seeing who can stay underwater the longest, the first round bdubs and scar will come up first and let impulse win, and then scar wins the next round, then bdubs, until everyone has three wins and no one would have had to take damage

Not gonna lie, I would have tried to rig two "chicken" games in Impulse's favor and then proceeded to guess Scar's task as soon as Impulse was done
man i love Scar. but EVERY series he does something that would real life piss me off. and only him no one else. they let him get away with a lot. i know it is supposed to be a dumb fun series, but he does things that actually makes me mad as just a viewer. i know i shouldnt get upset but i do.

Task ideas/suggestions:
Throughout the session you frequently forget or get confused as to what life series you are in. For example, if you’ve experienced betrayals in past life series, act as though they just happened. If you had past partnerships/teams, use this. You could also use past bits/running jokes. Additionally, you could bring up things like the boogyman, time running out, or soulmates as if these are currently in effect. You must engage with other players while experiencing these episodes. If someone mentions that you are bringing up old events, act confused/disoriented/in denial.
(Red): cause the same player to take damage in five different ways

"Blood god - You are the god of the Red lives. You must lead the Red's to deal a total of 10 hearts to green players. If a green player dies before 10 hearts is made, you must deal damage to another player."
Red Player's Task:
"You serve the Blood god. There are 2 other followers of the Blood god - NAMES. You must defy your Blood god at the last 10 minutes of the session and kill them."

@@Wither02 no, I understand. Eating food when you have half an empty hunger point will give you saturation meaning you aren't wasting anyway. There isn't a downside to eating in this situation. Yes they can't regen health but it will still act as a hunger buffer

First thing I thought when I heard your task I thought "I'd just accept fail, straight up. The probability to win more hearts than you loose, in that many rounds, is just too small".
100%. This was just a terrible task suggestion. I like all of the life series but especially with limited life making deaths irrelevant and secret life making things unfair, I honestly just miss the originals.
Do you guys remember when there were actual battles against reds? I think in an effort to make each series different, it loses what 3rd life had in the beginning. Dont fix what ain't broken.
Task Idea: Be scared of the ghast in the over world that only you can see.
Secret Task: learn that "more than 3" is not equal to 3 but 4 or more.

honestly i wish i watched bdubs’s episode first. or maybe liz then bdubs. i watch the episodes of shortest to longest in an attempt to maximize the amount of surprises in each episode i watch, but it didn’t work out at all this time 😂
@@davespriter I watched Mumbo first and was a bit disappointed at the end, from his perspective, it looked like nobody could really survive and I didn't want this to be the last or second to last session.
Bdubs along with Pearl were really not present during the chaos. They were evacuating the dogs and stayed underground.

I'm surprised they stuck with the task as long as they did. I'd have immediately pressed fail, or even rerolled. The potential of winning 10 hearts is just not worth the high risk of losing even more. If everyone wants to complete their task, at the very least, they'd need to lose 4 and a half hearts.
I agree 100% and I would've done the same from a logical standpoint but I think it was just for content they knew that the 3 of them together trying to get into trouble and take damage would make for a good content
Well it did work out for impulse and scar. And with damage from other sources (i.e. reds) increasing that extra 4 or 5 hearts excess from the task reward is getting more valuable.
It's not competitive. They do it for content and funzies

Task Idea:
You are a slime. You can now only jump around server. No walking. No running. Just jumping.
Skizz being people's therapist for the episode is one of my favorite parts of the session.
The whole task itself was basically a game of chicken. Who taps out to keep their hearts?
Task Idea:
You will be in a Scavanger Hunt with three other players. You must get ten items in specific ways from other players. Example- 'A dirt block thrown off the top of Bdubs base' or 'Seeds you pass back and forth from Tango three times' or 'The water from a water bucket clutch by Joel'
You must gather all items by the end of the session, all items must be kept in your inventory. You do not fail if you discuss this task with the others. First player to get them all or player who gathers the most by the end succeeds.

Task idea:
Player 1: Your task is to defend Player 2 from all damage. It's ok if Player 1 guesses the task, but you lose if YOU take more than 5 hearts defending Player 1.
Player 2: Player 1 has a task to defend you from all damage. Your task is to make Player 1 indirectly take at least 5 hearts of damage, causing them to lose their task. You may not directly cause the damage yourself.
Task idea:
You know nothing, you can only "learn stuff" by watching a other player do it first. Example if you see another player do it you can too, walking, jumping, using doors, using items, sword swing, placing different blocks, using a bucket, etc...
You know NOTHING! Time to learn. To complete you must learn 20 different things.
Asking a player to do stuff so you can learn is a fail.
Walking should be given, sprinting can't I would say, unless you live in a group you have to get to people first
