Here I am trying to figure out how to put a t5 in my car and you're over there taking it out! Great work as always Andy appreciate the time and detail you take in your projects
You can do it!
That’s one way to get it off the stand! 😂 I love having a removable bell housing; much easier than the one piece on my old Japanese cars.
So true!
I like the idea of a wood transmission stand. I might have to build one of those. Those straps on the side of the transmission jack goes over the top and holds it so it doesn't fall to the ground and get damaged.
Yeah, those straps don't work well because the length of the ratchet side of the strap is up inside the transmission tunnel, so I can't use them. :)
@@AndyKruseChannel Ah that makes sense. Yea not a great design.
That’s cool thanks for the video! Back to college bowl games!
Glad you enjoyed!
Gravity will get her right out man you are really going thru that Stang
Mine has been sitting for months lol you inspire me to get to work 🚗🔧🐎🇺🇸💪👊
Yeah, gravity usually wins.
It's winter time, get your car done so you can drive it in the Spring! :)
Got to love a T5!
So far, Yes. But I'd like to do a TKX or T56 some day. Maybe when I'm making 600+ HP. :)
@@AndyKruseChannel I’ve heard good things about the TKX, shouldn’t take you long to get up in the 600 + hp club! :)
Luv you content Andy
What type of battery tools are you using?
Mix of DeWalt and Milwaukee. :)
Are the two side engine mounts the only mounts holding the entire engine and bell when you remove the trans?
Correct, the engine is secured by the two engine mounts you mentioned and then the third point is via the transmission crossmember (through the transmission and bellhousing). :)
What brand of transmission jack do you have?
Not sure of the brand, but I purchased it from Harbor Freight. :)
Lol you know there's a strap on the transmission jack for a reason right?
Yeah, those straps don't work well because the length of the ratchet side of the strap is up inside the transmission tunnel, so I can't use them. :)
Where did you get your shifter?
The Shifter Assembly or the Shift Lever? The Shift Assembly is from LMR, part number SVE-7210A. The Shift Lever is a Hurst unit, part number 4106. :)
good thing that was'nt a toploader...you probably would have struck oil.
Yeah, those iron cases might crack with a fall like that. :)
