The SHS deck seems pretty decent and although the end board can be pretty scary, I think it still has the potential of inviting interactive gameplay.

If the monster is in the extra deck, you need to use the extra monster zone or it needs to be on a link arrow .
Monsters from hand does not need to be be an arrow or emz.
You get 1 pendulum summon per turn by default.
Monster lvl between the scale numbers are the ones you can summon.
Now this is an Avenger’s level threat!

Something in noticing after testing this decklist is that if u can’t get prodigy in ur hand ur kinda dead. This is just my testing, I could be wrong and I just don’t know how to play the deck. Even so I would love to see a videos on a couple test hands to see what ud want to do if u don’t open up with prodigy
Anyone buy their sleeves yet? I like how they seem to look and fit. But do they bend your cards forward like other cheaper sleeves?

Can we get a side deck options breakdown for this deck too? Most side decks have a bunch of spell and traps, which this deck can’t play. So what do you put in the side deck in placement of boardbreakers and going first cards? Also, theirs interesting techs you can side in like Jinzo and spell canceler. Do your think those techs are worth siding in? Just want your feedback on these choices. Love the content either way!
I am wondering if Archfiend Eccentrick or Mythical Beast Garuda will be in the side deck as they are both pendulum monsters with pop effects
Pankratops, kaijus, and the "c" monsters are really good
There are a lot of side deck options. The ghost girls for example. Ghost belle, ghost mourner. You can also use Kaijus, Droll and Lock, Archfiend eccentrick. If you wanted to use unorthodox sides, you can use SHS thief or Performapal seal eel. Nibiru, skull meister and d.d. Crow is good too.
keep in mind the s/t restriction isn’t as bad as you’d think like with something like sekkas light, you can still play things like prohibition and anti spell in the side (though anti spell might fuck your follow up but if you full combo plus anti spell you’ve already won)

An alternate line to Baronne is just go into the level 8 karakuri synchro then summon a level 2 tuner karakuri from deck.
That's an extra garnet, though
I love how my build was done a few weeks ago and after tons of testing i end up with only a single card difference from Tom's build, I didnt have stealthy and was running to scales, ED was a bit different, had more SHS synchros like Sarutobi, nice build.. would like to see side deck tech choices for 5 rainbows and droll, etc
Garuda for 5 Rainbow, (Droll you eat or Gamma HOPEFULLY)
Spell Canceller, Swap out 1 extra deck card for Saryuja to summon it after Qliphort scout pendulum

Serious question, is there a reason why I see folks in combo videos for SHS Normal Summon the Soulpiercer after Special Summoning the Wakaushi rather than equipping it to the Wakaushi and using the Wakaushi as Link Material? The equip route doesn't use your Normal and still gets the search, and then you can still get a second Wakaushi from deck using Peacemaker when you need a Tuner. Genuinely curious why the Normal seems to be the recommended choice in most videos, there could be something I'm missing.
Wakaishi locks you into superheavy Samurai monsters only.
So u lose most of your extra deck access.
That's not what I meant, apologies. Line: Scale Wakaushi, activate Wakaushi effect, summon. Then, instead of Normal Summoning Soulpiercer, equip it to Wakaushi, then use the Wakaushi as material for Scarecrow instead of Soulpiercer. The equipped Soulpiercer goes to grave and you get a search without burning your normal. Then, later, when you tribute Scarecrow with Soulpeacemaker, you summon a second Wakaushi from deck to get back a Tuner. You end up with an extra Wakaushi on top of the Extra Deck and can Normal Scales or anything else you might want to, and you're not activating the on field Wakaushi effect to lock yourself. Any reason why that would actually be worse?
@@AdequateDreamer you’re down on a body than usual as by normaling piercer gets scales, piercer, and an extra body(gaia or spy) with baronne after the scarecrow tag out. If you equipped onto wakaushi, you end on one less body and are forced to have to normal summon anyway. You generate less bodies before the pend summon but can have one more body during the pend summon. Overall it is weaker as you end up more susceptible to early handtraps as you have less bodies working for you and complicates it so that you cant go into ballista and genius, whereas the other board state had enough for genius and ballista
how are you setting up pend scales without wasting a search on another wakaushi?

Imagine playing triple Solemn Judgment in the deck and opening all 3. 2 omni negates, 1 Infinite Spell/Trap card activation negation (of course, as long as you can pay cost), I:P interruption, and triple "NO!" set in the backrow. Woowee!

14:30 so you can only add a superheavy samurai soul off wagon, so you can’t add spy, but you’d have to play soulclaw or the lvl 1 or something to add instead.
Breakthrough skill and galaxy cyclone can be used bc their secondary effects banish them from grave to activate
@@thomasherald875 sekkas light is what i used to play with superheavy, the problem with breakthrough and cyclone is they have conditional effects. Sekkas light is always a +
But sekka will lock you out of using the spell effects of your pendulums and soul monsters.

I’m confused, doesn’t Wakushi lock you into only being allowed to special summon Superheavy Samurai monsters?
Only if u use the summon from deck effect
@@MSTTV yeah I realized that 😅 I totally forgot to read the card effect, I thought the pendulum effect locked. I kept using Wakushi's monster effect to add instead of Benkei add, which obviously doesn't make sense! TY for the video though, helped me figure out what I was doing wrong.

it messes up some link plays but that’s about it, if that’s your only interruption going second or something they can easily just make baronne before going into genius or ballista

If playing veiler and at least two impermanence, the swordsoul iris might not be that bad

That is correct that probably would be something for side unless Drnm becomes a main staple. Then combo shifting to pivot

@Arshad Hosein not if your under shifter. I understand siding it out going 2nd but main decking it going first or either sinding into it for game 2 to have a essentially 6 copies of droll or shared ride to help break the board
@@fairleysteven12 no single shs player will play shifter. And if you are going first and you want to play shared ride you should still be playing a ton of handtraps. Otherwise you just draw into engine cards

most monsters on endboard aare usually not machina. cyber stein combo is most likely not the way to go, watch joshua schmidts videos for that

That is only partially true, if the 12-15 hand trap doesn't stun the Kashtira player to the point where they cannot play and they still make ariseheart then you would be fine. But yah Kashtira is the hard matchup

This deck is kind of disgusting. We haven't seen a combo deck like this in a while, we had Tear but, hot take, that deck at least was interactive. This is just the vomit out negates style combo which, I dunno.....might have to take a break if this becomes popular

Tear is a category of it's own imo, but looking at it like a traditional combo deck I can't think of a deck that does what Sams is gonna do since Dragonlink, especially when that was at full power. Or something like Swordsoul when Halq/Auroradon combo was legal

my issue here is that once again there is a shitty, extremely consistent, nearly non-interactive, ftk. I was excited for the support until I saw how generic it all was. literally every game will be, "did you open droll or not."

@@marcoornelas2451 If You are playing competitive u will need Kurikaras, Baronne, Stardust Accel, Regulus, Fenrirs, Accesscode, Bystials, etc. It gets pretty expensive.
Budget? The extra deck can buy you an entire mathmech, or runick naturia deck. This deck is very expensive, is not Kashtira but is very expensive...
Right there are many yugituber who said that this deck is budget. The Main is without doubt but whenever u have to play every single staple card that exist in extra the price go up significantly
It's a mid budget. As a tier 1 deck at... Well less than 200 bucks with only the extra deck, it's definitely as easier deck to enter the tier 1 level.
And those cards u get are basically the same ones you will use for all the other decks so it's a small investment to keep staying at the tier 1 level.
yeah, as tombox said, this is medium budget. not something like $50-$100, but for a tier 1 deck this is incredibly cheap. I understand that budget can mean diff things to diff folks, but looking at the big picture and how expensive most tier 1 decks are, this is an outlier.
Most of the extra deck is staples. You should have most of them (except accel) if you've been playing competitively for a while
I see no point in complaining about staple ish extra deck cards. Once you get them you can use them in a plethora of decks smh

this build is beyond bad pls dont play this. look up something better. cyberstein is awfull if u get dark rulered you lose automatically.
The point was to get people started with fundamentals. Otherwise, just play the FTK, but I know for a fact it would get banned because, if a problematic ftk gets showcased, it will be banned before it can be played.
Rather than Regulus U can get Spell Canceller, make saryuja, the summon it.
Otherwise add 3 fenrirs, Add a side deck with: Or readapt to main deck once DRNM becomes Main Deck. 1 Spell Canceller, 1 Kaiju for Purrelly, Garuda / for 5 Rainbow Magician.
I don't think we are at a point of adapting a non-existing meta yet.
All people going heads first into SHS... I feel really pity for them. This deck will be live for like 1-2 tournaments
