My husband and I lived at Clark in 1971-1973.
When we left Clark we had to leave behind our house girl who I considered family. Her name is Ida Tua, she married after we left. His name is Benny. She had several children and named one after me. I wish I knew how to find her! I don’t know Benny’s last name.
Clark was a great clean, modern airport to arrive at and I will no longer use Manila. Thanks for the history on that.
My Dad was stationed at Clark in the late 1950s and I was raised in the Philippines. That was his second posting at Clark, his first posting at Clark was in the summer of 1941. If you have any appreciation of history I am sure you can figure out the rest. I was very lucky to have grown up in the Philippines.
