Icon rebound pro vs method bead grip wheels video would be sweet
I got those icon rebounds. They are great wheels but the fact that you need to replace the o rings whenever i need to debead the tires is a money wasting and its a real struggle to find someone selling them.
I love the technology, but I’m not crazy on that particular wheel styling. I hope they extend this out to all of their wheels!
Just put these on my 17 Tacoma Off Road. 285/75 R17 Nitto Trail Grapplers, with Icon Stage 10 suspension. Awesome!! They balanced perfectly and make my truck very capable. Bought the wheels from you guys and couldn't be happier with them and your company!

So what happens when you drive on a flat or at extreme low pressures? Will the pins be driven threw the tread surface, or will the vehicle weight strip out the thread in the wheel. Would make a cool video to try and see
This is something I thought about 20 years ago and wish I got a patten for. I'm happy to see this is working and I'm definitely going to purchase them. I went rounds with an engineer and he continued to say the rims would be weaker and crack. Seeing is believing as my idea was dead in the water because I was basically broke at the time.
I think these wheels are a great idea! And it’s probably not really needed but they could even make extreme versions that have the “bead locks” on both beads
Agreed, probably not all that needed, but still, would be great to have the option for dual innerlock beadlocks!
Cool to see new ideas. Not sure if I'd choose it over something like a Hutchinson DOT though, at least not yet.
Definitely considering if they should be the next addition to my truck but they aren't available in an 8 lug pattern yet. Has there been any word on if that's in the works?
Not sure what oil you're putting on the o-rings, but from experience shooting PCP air rifles full of o-rings dealing with pressures of around 4000PSI, divers silicone grease is great for keeping those o-rings in great conditions. Very interesting though and definitely on the shopping list for when the $ allow for the 4Runner!

If these become available with an increased postive offset, I know many people who will be using this wheel on our Jeeps. Great concept!

All sounds awesome do they make an 8 lug pattern that has a center hole large enough to fit on a Dynatrac pro rock 60? Currently running method rims now on the street but looking to get bead locks for off road
Will the torque spec change wet or dry or do they instruct you to add anti sieze from the factory?
Will icon make these in a more heavy duty application like Diesel trucks and heavy SUVs like the excursion
What was the air pressure when tested ?

I actually ordered up a set of these wheels, didn't want a fake bead lock, and its so hard to find a good looking non fake bead lock rim. I'm also looking into starting my business where I'll have to get DOT number and CMVR for my truck so DOT approved is a must as I'll be at scales and dealing with inspections. But I still want to be able to take my truck out.
Do these pins take some special socket to remove/install?
One thing I’ve learned, don’t let someone you can’t supervise install something like these bolts or diy, into the wheels. It’ll be too big of a pain to get them fixed or warrantied when they inevitably show up cross threaded.
I'm guessing the guys on discount tires can't install these then?
Is there any chance ICON will add a bash ring add-on
When aired down is there a chance the wheels move around and need to be rebalanced? ...or is that chance so low it's not really a concern
I can’t give a review without the product. Feel free to ship 5 and AT 33s for my gladiator sport S any time! I agree with the other guy though. Beadlock inner as well. I know there’s more flex in the wheel there which is an engineering nightmare though. The outer has more rigidity typically because of the flange.
They look cool, great concept, but the lack of suitable offsets and backspacing makes them a non starter. 5x5 with 4.50 backspacing and -6 offset barely works with stock tires on a Jeep, try 3.50 with -38 and you might have something.
Will wheel and tire cleaner eat away at the o ring over time ?
Will they fit on a 2018 Raptor

Will they be making future rims with the bead locks on the inside and outside of the rim?
Not sure Cameron. They didn’t hint at that while we were with them
I saw on a different video they responded saying the inside was unnecessary due to minimal forces being placed on the inner bead. They went on to quote their tests and yadda yadda.
Do they plan on introducing them with a smaller backspacing in the future?
Great question! Once we know the answer, we'll definitely make sure and let all of you know!

Beadlocks without the extra parts and weight! Nice what about the cost? If price is crazy high ill just do this myself to a set of stock rims 🤣

How much is a set of a true 33 " tire . I have a 89 wrangler . Irony want to run spacers . I have 32" on now and that r a little over a 3 1 . I have bfg all terain . I have 15 " rims now but wil l go to a 16 if necessary

Can balancing beds work inside without damaging the bolts?
I wouldn't recommend balancing beads
Have you guys heard about a rusting problem on the bolts? Has Icon dealt with this?

Only problem I’m seeing here is at super low pressure 5-7 psi where I run on sand this will not stop the tire from turning on the wheel. A problem I deal with all the time on my non beadlock wheels
Is this technology Patented by icon? I love the idea. Sadly I just can’t afford them haha. Was curious if they were patented or not cause I’d be curious to see some other versions of this design from more budget friendly companies in the future !

Are these rims hub centric or lug centric?
All ICON wheels are designed to be lug centric.
Spinning a bead and inner bead are the concerns

@@ryandoubleu225 How can they be hub centric for all jeeps? Don't you mean for a specific year model like JKs? I've got a TJ, I doubt it's the same. Is it? Plus I got a Ford 8.8 rear, so that's a whole other thing. I really just gotta get off my ass and go measure my hubs.

Too much chaos rather just run my 701 methods to drop down to 5 pounds of air pressure no issues just my two cents
The point is that bead locks are illegal on road apparently in a lot of places.

There is ZERO chance you can be sued for an accident due to beadlocks unless the beadlock was an actual contributor to the accident ie it failed and caused the vehicle to lose control.

People need to stop boogey man -ing our legal system. There are many mechanisms in place to stop frivolous lawsuits. You can't just sue someone for any reason.

Exactly. My oem raptor bead locks have 24 bolts. How many would have to fail for the tire to de bead? I think the tire would leak and I would have time to pull over just like the positive statements on these new wheels. Cool design I suppose but acting like they are superior to a true true bead locks is just silly.
You can ALWAYS be sued. The case having merit is something completely separate from the act of being sued!
