So I watched a 15 minute video on this and still didn't really understand what the guy was saying about string walking. This video however summed it up so perfectly and I finally understand it's purpose 👍🏽
Is it possible to use a barebow tab ( full leather ) with no markings and make my own on it, with pencil and then bolding it with marker / fix ? And thanks for this video tho, my aim was terrible because i didnt hold the bow string right, now it will be far better i hope.
You can add your own markings but they have to be the exact same size and color. For example for my indoor tab I tape a piece of paper on my tab with just one line on it because I just need my 20 yard crawl. Another option is if you have a leather tab you can use the stitching on the tab as your marking.
@@musikSkool You can absolutely gap off the bow, you just can't use a marking to do so. You can use the arrow, arrow rest, or bare riser to help you aim though.

WTF???????? This is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!!!!!!! explanation of string walking EVER!!!!!!!!!!
Yes! Its so simple, yet satisfying.. would love to see someone implement this to a video game😄😉
I do string walking and use a Yost Pro Tab, also. I shoot a Ragim Matrix 62" take down recurve - 30# at 28 inches.
Should you have a string knock above and below the arrow knock? Or can there be one string knock with your arrow below it.
If your arrows are going high, aim lower? I still dont get the purpose of walking.

Can you do this for a traditional bow? I’ve got a samick red stag one piece
You can string walk on a traditional bow, but you'll need to run a higher nocking point usually between 3/4" to 1".
Could you just put lines or tape on the riser above your hand with markings for different ranges and use the 2 under 1 over grip?
It wouldn't be illegal for barebow competition.
@@Archery360 What if you etch it into the riser?
@@musikSkool Unfortunately no markings are allowed on the riser.
@@Archery360 Oh, thanks. But I do hear people say you can gap off the top of the sight window or some other angle visible on the bow.

Tq❤😎👍🏹🥇🇲🇾
what is the brand name of the tab
It's a Yost Pro Tab.
Does this work because of the differences in string tension when you're drawing further away from center?
Please don't do this with wooden bows, it will over stress the lower limb.
no...i wa =s wanting to do this with a double recurve bamboo bow...i cant string walk...? no....i wanted to try this technique
confusing
Yeah try that in deer hunting you don't get no second shot
Range estimation, then use a predetermined holdover.
I've successfully used string walking with a fixed crawl for hunting.
