How does compare it to the Sony FX3 in terms of video?
Somy does offer those thing, either via firmware update aka new bodies or only of their R models. One of my biggest regrets was going with Sony
Spot on mate, I did exactly the same - for £1.1K it's a total no brainer... nothing on the planet is any better value than this gem!
I looking for a S5 IIX. For what I search is the best value camara in the middle price range.
Is the 4k 60p crop an APSC mode or is it just 1.4 crop??
Thanks
Thanks for the video! Have you tried pairing it with the sigma 18-35? If so how was it?
Not yet as I don’t have our one on me however something I will be testing in the next month, especially with the 3.3k mode
@@JonathanPalfrey Looking forward for the video! No one on CZcams actually made an in depth review of how the lens pairs with the s5ii/x so that will definitely be an interesting one!
Panasonic is light-years ahead on colors. Sorry Sony but Slog3 is garbage to work with and no prores is a joke. Once ppl open their eyes and realize how good the color is it changes the game, if they don't, more for us.
Ugly colors are keeping me away from Sony, and Fuji's lovely colors are keeping me with Fuji, even with Fuji's terrible autofocus issues. Panasonic Lumix cameras could be the right sweet sport of good colors and functioning autofocus. I'm really considering getting GH7 or S5IIX if I feel I can afford full-frame lenses and live without 4K120.
Honestly I think they both have their pros and cons when it comes to colours.
I’ve always found Panasonic leans a bit magenta. Sony can look great however I’ve always found it struggles if you don’t nail the white balance.
Blackmagic are still king of colour in this price range for me.
Most people never used the A1 or A7RV to say this. I found the colors of the A1 and A7RV better than the S5II. And even Sony has better detail rendering than Panasonic with the S5II now. I must shoot in external raw with the S5II to get the same great details rendering of the S5 and S1. So yes the S5II has Open Gate and great IBIS in 4K but I don't think the camera is as great as some people say.
And the only recent Panasonic camera with really nicer colors than the last Sony is the GH6. Blackmagic cameras also have great colors. The S5II, G9II and GH7 have worse colors in my opinion.
