The best advise I can give someone about to enter the police academy, its all about team effort building on each others strengths and weaknesses to make each other strong. Push each other to victory, and you will all succeed. When it comes to academics, study groups is a must as talking to each other about topics helps retain information. Watching these videos take me back when I went through the academy. Changed my life forever. Good Luck.
OOOORahhhh to the San Jose police department, you guys changed my life, now I'm a year and a half away from my academy class...thank you for having heros behind the badge !!
Way To Go Guy's. Congratulations !!! We appreciate your service. Stay Safe ...

@jerryforpd i agree with that...i had a bad experiencie so im being a little sensitive. But there is nice officers.
Reminds me of football conditioning
@matiaspaik Usually, the "How to be a pig" class occurs in the early stage of academy. It's actually a series of classes called "Some folks are ungrateful, but you have protect them anyway." It's a pretty good course. You learn that no matter how many good thing you do, some folks will still dog you for it. They call you pig today, then expect your help tomorrow.
Let's party. Come on cops, let's party. You know how wild I get when I see a hundred bucks and a hit of crack...
Step into the Multi-cam and find out what "Oooh dark thirty in the morning" really means!
They aren't ready to be in the real military unless they are already combat veterans, which a few of them may be. A few, not many. Most of these people are military wanbabees. Look how they train. This ain't boot camp. They're still civilians. The SJPD is not the DOD. I don't know why they're fronting like they are.
God bless u
Why are almost all the men’s head shaved so low? Is it a rule when you join or something ?
everything they do we do in jrotc....pt , formation, etc. except shoot pistols...
i am trying to figure out a way to pay for training, and this will be me as soon as I figure it out!
Alex Ortega did ya figure it out?
These guys look like military recruits, their head are buzzed, girls hair is off the collar, uniform have their name on it ect. Only thing is they get to sleep in their own beds at night.
They don't actually. And if you think this is militaristic, than you should see how CHP trains. It's scary how similar they are to the military (because police officers and soldiers are supposed to serve very different functions).
Bobby did you make it
What the kit badger
@Xposedmusic yes, and you get the "diploma" if you pass "how to abuse people"
Is this what all police departments do?
Pretty much
@Xposedmusic you dont like my opinion? i can give you 1000 examples but i wont.....btw the ford focus is a very slow car.
Some of the recruits doing pushups should be embarrassed by their bad form.
The department must have a low standard for strength when entering there academy.
do they come home at night?
+Andrew Au not during the academy.
