    Great video! Looking at taking a 23-24' center console over in the next few years and great to see the sea hunt did well! Found your video while doing some research and trip planning. Thanks for sharing!

      sorry didn't really keep up with it. That Yamaha 200 uses fuel like a Prius.....LOL We didn't burn 100 gallons for the week.

      Michael Miller that’s nice. I went in 2019 with a twin engine jet boat, used about 35 gallons just to go from Ft Lauderdale to Bimini, probably used about 200 gallons for the five days.

    I love the video, looks like you guys had a blast. I can’t wait to be able to do the same with my family. I’m in the market for a boat and I’m considering the ultra 234 for both price and weight. Any pros and cons you could share with me or maybe what to look for?

      Thanks we had a great time. We have made that trip several times, just watch the weather. In regards to the Ultra 234, we love it. No issues, unless we caused them. Great family and fishing boat for the money. A little larger boat would have been great but this one is easy to tow, and very economical to operate for a boat. mmiller@ncmillers.com if you have questions.

    Awesome video and boat! What is the name of the song you're playing in the background?

    Starting my research also, looking at making the crossing with another boat and both boats are 22 ft CC.

      Let me know if you have any questions. We do either West End or Bimini every year. We plan to go to West End Grand Bahama next July. Great fun, just watch the weather if you are in a small boat. I live in NC so we trailer our boat to Florida.

      Lake Harbor Marina W. Palm beach. Took around 2.5 hours. Went to Bimini last year and going back to West End when they open back up. Big Fun and the Sea Hunt done great!

      @michaelmiller2327  Před 3 lety

    • @michaelmiller2327
      @michaelmiller2327  Před rokem

      Its approx 60 miles. depends on weather. 2.5 hours is about average for us I think.

    Thanks for sharing...looking at ultra 225 to fish/cruise around HHI...and maybe follow a friend of ours to cross over to bimini summer 2023. any advice other thn being patient for right weather?

      @michaelmiller2327  Před rokem

      Weather, Weather, Weather....if the weather is good its easy crossing. I wouldnt do it without 2 radios, good GPS and an Epirb. You can also rent a Sat Phone but I never have. We have done it several times and never had a buddy boat, but all our stuff is working and ready in case something happens. We are planning a trip in June 23. You will have a blast!

    Is the tan seating hot from the sun?

    • @michaelmiller2327
      @michaelmiller2327  Před 3 lety

      Don't really seem to be and it stays cleaner than white and don't mildew as bad. The next year after we bought this one, they came out with a darker tan. We would have gotten that if they had it. I think its looks good too.

    How much fuel did you burn ?

    • @michaelmiller2327
      @michaelmiller2327  Před 3 lety

      I didn't really keep up with it but I think we burned less than 150 gallons for the week and we fished almost everyday, mostly trolled. But keep in mind its only a single 200 HP 4 stroke.

    • @michaelmiller2327
      @michaelmiller2327  Před 3 lety

      Also the sweet spot for that boat for fuel mileage is around 20 to 25 MPH and thats where I tried to stay.

      @michaelmiller2327  Před 3 lety

      I will be glad to answer any questions you may have. We have made that trip several times. Last 2 trips have been to Bimini. Its no big deal really, just watch the weather!

    Great video. Are you guys planning on going again? I am planning a trip for early July. This would be our first time going over. Any tips you can share about your trip? How were the seas? Looked really nice.

    • @michaelmiller2327
      @michaelmiller2327  Před 5 lety +2

      Thx - Going to Bimini this time in 3 weeks. I guess depending on your boat size, we went on a Seahunt 234, single engine. Did fine, the weather was great. Just keep a constant eye on the weather and make sure your electronics are in good order. Be prepared for customs, no big deal just a lot of paperwork. Take some cash, seems like a lot of the card machines were broken.....lol...they like cash. if you have any questions I will be glad to help but Im not an expert. We had a blast.

    Getting prepared to make my first trip over. Where did you launch your boat and leave truck and trailer? Do you know how many gallons of fuel you used going over? Thanks

    • @michaelmiller2327
      @michaelmiller2327  Před 4 lety

      Sorry Chris, Just seen this. If you have already made you trip I hope it went well. We put the boat in at Lake Harbor marina and left the trailer there. Not sure about the fuel, this boat uses very little. We used less than 100 gallons for the whole week and took the boat out every day. We are going back as soon as they open back up. Went to Bimini last summer.
