You said that the entire Sayian race would be revived, but Earth's dragon balls can only revive people that have fied less than a year before
the "Do you know how long a minute is." joke is about how in the show, when Freeza said the planet will blow up in 5 minutes, it took 19 full episodes to actually blow up

@@AsadKhan-ic9qi well, sound only travels so fast. At the rate of five minutes, they’d have to be talking faster than sound can actually travel to make that time, as there’s over thirty minutes of them standing still and talking. It’s literally impossible.
There are a few rules to reviving people with the earth dragon
1- The person needs to have a whole body. That means, if I vaporize you, the Dragon can't bring you back.
2- They can't have been revived before already.
3- They can't be dead for more than 1 year.
So, examples: For number 1, back in Dragon Ball, when King Piccolo blew up Xiaotzu, they couldn't bring him back with the Dragon Balls. That is why they asked Kami to recreate his body, and only after that they could wish him back.
Example for number 2 - As for Krillin, he had been brought back once before, that is why they use the Namekian Dragon Balls to revive him, since the only limitation that the Namekian balls have is that they can only bring back one person per wish.
Example for number 3 - Bardock and the Sayans were killed many many years ago, that is why they could not be brought back.

The first rule is false. It does not matter if you're vaporized or not, you're able to be brought back. That means any explosion would make me unable to be revived. Also the second example goes against the first since his body was blown up so that no pieces were left.
The second and third WAS true until Dende upgraded the dragon balls to 3 wishes and removed those rules.
Nightflash9850 They were using the new dragon balls, created by Dende. Those rules I talked about before only applied to the first dragon balls, made by Kami.
They were Kami's first dragon balls, so they weren't perfect.
When they asked Dende to make new dragon balls during the Cell saga, they asked him if it was possible to lose those restrictions, and he did.
The new dragon balls don't have those restrictions. They can ressurrect multiple people and can ressurrect them more than once, despite how long they have been dead. And they grant 3 wishes now.

Dr.Philry the first rule is true. In dragon ball Piccolo thought he had vaporised goku and stated that not even shenron could bring him back because he has no body. However that rule only applied to Kamis dragon balls
if your head and torso both survive you could be brought back but you would die again so you would of had to wait until you got a new body in the afterlife if at all and th3n be brought back. For example if Frieza died he could have been brought back in that state

King Kai being all "you hesitated there for a second" is in reference to how Goku doesn't remain "the one and only Super Saiyan" for long. The series gets up to its knees in Super Saiyans in no time flat.
And yes. Frieza actually said that the planet would blow up in 5 minutes (he later added two, so a total of 7 minutes). He said that in the original show. The original, uncut show. It was 7 episodes until the planet actually blew up. 7 half hour episodes. Recall that this is "The Abridged Series". If you thought that it was _fucking ridiculous_ that it was five minutes here: my friend, *you have no goddamn idea*.
The "Popo is Shenron's master" thing was just a joke TFS threw in there, because they couldn't resist doing something hilarious with a scene involving the Magical Wish Dragon and their take on Popo (which is VERY different from the actual series).
The general rule with Dragon Ball wishes is that they only take effect for things in the last year (because the Dragon Balls can only be used once per year). In other words, Goku's father wouldn't be brought back. Only those people killed by Frieza and his men within the past year. And since Nappa technically worked for Vegeta and not Frieza (and Vegeta didn't kill anything while he was on Earth), none of those deaths count.
The reason Krillin wasn't brought back to life by the "everyone killed by Frieza and his minions" wish was because Shenron had already brought him back to life. Shenron might be able to revive a whole bunch of people (who share similar circumstances) at once, but he can only do it for each person once. The Namekian Dragon (Porunga) can revive someone over and over again, but it can only do one at a time.

Damn, there's a real generation gap here. Big Papa gets the references from before 1980, and kiddo gets most of the jokes from after 2000, but all the 90s kid references go right over both of their heads with no reaction.

However the combine running time of all episodes with frieza vs SSJ goku is well over an hour in the original DBZ. Yeah 5 minutes my ass
if you watch seth the programmer then you would have seen his video about explaining this. Basically the fight is slowed down so we can see it. Remember they are moving multiple times he speed of light so 5 minutes to them is the equivalent of about an hour for us because they're used to the fast speeds. The only part that doesn't work with this is the speaking but that isn't very long. As for tfs it actually was over 5 minutes so they made a joke out of it

You do realize that Earth time is the same as time in the afterlife, so Krillin was basically screaming like that for four months while they were waiting for the Namekian Dragon Balls to activate again.

The reason Krillin didn't come back with everyone else is because he'd already been wished back once before; the Dragon Balls as they worked back then could only bring someone back to life once.

In the original Dragonball, Krillin actually was the first character to die and was brought back to life by the Earth Dragonballs, and 1 of the Earth Dragonballs rules was that the same person can't be brought back to life twice.

Krillin wasn't brought from that earlier wish because that wish was made with Earth's dragon balls and Krillin had already died once years before the start of dragon ball z. That's why they had to use the namekian dragon balls to revive him after that

If no one has mentioned it yet the Earth's Dragon Balls can only bring someone back to life once, Krillin had died and been brought back with them before in the original Dragon Ball so that's why Krillin wasn't brought back by the wish Popo gave to Shenron

On the subject of Goku seeming smarter as a Super Saiyan, I kind of have a theory. Goku's body grows slightly larger when he goes Super Saiyan, and possibly not just externally. If his organs grow slightly, save for his brain (his head stays the same size), then his lungs and heart grow. That means more oxygen, which could increase brain function (not by a lot, but in Goku's case, even a small increase would be noticeable). Goku's brain was damaged in the Abridged continuity when his adoptive grandfather (Grandpa Gohan) dropped him off a cliff onto his head. My theory is, the increased oxygen in his blood slowly restores functions in his brain that have long been damaged and not working properly. Again, it's not a major improvement, but even that little bit made his brain function slightly closer to how it should have been.
Super sayien is a 50x base power boost, base is the form is what a being is in before any transformation.

The dragon from Namek has his power focused, which means not as much variation & can only bring back one person at a time (asides loop holes where one persons life is connected to another, like Piccolo & Kami) BUT he can do it as many times as you want. The Earths' dragon has his power split & and able to do more stuff, like a whole bunch of people depending on the phrase and all that, but can only do each person once. Limitations & all that. Kind of have to pay attention to get all the details.
