  • The End of Silence is one of the Rollins Band's strongest releases. Directed by Modi for Modivation Films, we filmed this in a theater in New Jersey, As I recall this was right before the LA Riots!

The original lineup for the group Henry Rollins put together after Black Flag disbanded is without question THE tightest band I've ever seen. Their set for the first Lollapalooza in Orlando in 1991 was nothing short of amazing. Their set in Gainesville a year later was even better: the initial push down front was so intense at the start of the show that I ended up sitting right on the stage directly beneath Henry. At one point my glasses fell off onto the stage. Hank picked them up and handed them back to me....always the gentleman. He even shoved the microphone in my face during this song to have me sing/shout the "Better walk away!" refrain with him. This video is yet another fantastic piece of work by Modi. She has always possessed the genius to capture the essence of a band live and turn it into pure magic. See also: Jane's Addiction's "Mountain Song" video. Absolutely beautiful work.

What's with the chewing man, at the end?!! He's just eaten a stage diver. Great live band.
