On my last trip to India, I visited only the North and that's what I thought all of India was like.
This trip, I did only the South and it's completely opposite from the North in every way imaginable!
The best way to think about India is like Europe. When you move from one Indian state to the next -- the culture, cuisine, language and weather all change in the same way that you'd experience by hopping European countries.
Have you ever been to India? What do you think are the biggest differences between the North and the South? Please share your thoughts below!

I am from Delhi. For the past 4 years, I have been working in Chennai. These 4 years I have learned a lot about life and people. Tamil people are collectively sweet and kind to even strangers. Initially I had the ego driving me acting like as a North Indian, I'm superior to the Tamil people and did not care about anything. But the karma played it's drama in my life. My mom was diagnosed with cancer and our family decided to treat her in Chennai. It was one of the popular cancer institute in the country. In the 20+ months of journey, so many Tamil people helped my family and supported us a lot. That too, mostly strangers. My relatives and friends in Delhi, they did not even care about my mom's life. I am so grateful to this Tamil people as without them, my family would be in so much turmoil and we would have lost my mom.

Aryanness of northerners myth should go Many areas of south are more" aryan "than those in areas like bihar jharkand even Bengal etc Even many Punjabis in villages even Pakistanis in villages look like average south Indian

The south Indians are not directly related to east african ethiopians any more or any less than north Indians .
Sourh Indians ie dravidians are a distinct race by themselves having their ancestry in Indus valley civilization and perhaps related to ancient sumerian .
As I said earlier there is a common misconception that south Indians are from "africa" and north Indians are from " central asia"
Some ancient tribal groups all over India do have direct african links but the overall majority population of south India the dravidians are as distant to the Ethiopian African race as other races of India
The basic race of all Indians both north and south is the dravidian type with additional indo Iranian (indo european) additions in both north and south .

It's a different type of paradise there, the population is less, climate is better and people are nice too. But the scenery is much better in NE because it's mostly untouched (maybe due to low population) and would be one of the best places to visit in India for the ones who love nature.

Using the word "most" undermines the beauty of the rest of the parts of our country. Beauty is actually subjective. Some prefer mountains over beaches and would naturally find them more beautiful than the later, while some would say just the opposite. In my opinion, every part of our country has something to boast about which is equally beautiful and mesmerising. We should have an open mind when it comes to our nation, while preserving the local culture and beauty. Jai Hind Jai Bharat!
