- Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by presidential hopeful Dr. Cornel West as well as legal scholar Eugene Kontorovich to debate the ongoing conflict in Gaza between Israel and Palestine and whether Israel have committed war crimes and genocide in the region with the growing civilian casualties.
Eugene believes that Hamas are to blame for the mass civilian casualties because they are using the Palestinians as human shields as they hide in underground tunnels.
Cornel believes that blaming Hamas for the bombing of civilian children is a weak justification for the IDF's approach and actions within this war and in his opinion, genocide.

He falsely uses a distortion of terms and international law to claim Hamas engaged in genocide while Israel has not. This situation has been played out a million times in the movies. Let's take for instance the movie Star Wars. It's the perfect example of how conflict is very complex. And when I say complex, I don't mean difficult to understand, I simply mean that there are a lot of moving parts.
Conflict almost always begins with a misunderstanding that stems from either one or both parties. And because either side refuses to handle the matter in a diplomatic way, the conflict intensifies. There were those who felt that it was okay to dabble in the darkside while others were opposed. Escalating tensions and emotions left no room for diplomacy which led to war...in the stars. (This is the super simplified cliff notes)
Once the imperial army took over a vast majority of the galaxy, their world view became the overwhelmingly dominant view point forced upon the masses. And many agreed. So what were the Jedi and imperial opposition supposed to do to rectify their situation? Form a rebel alliance. Now according to anyone supporting the Imperial army, any act of violence against it was an act of terriosm. They held the majority of the galaxy under their control and to the victor goes the spoils, right? They were a sovereign authority. So according to them, the rebel alliance was nothing more than a terrorist group that needed to be quashed.
So if you were on the side of the Imperial forces you would consider their actions justified. But if you were on the side of the rebels you would consider their (rebels) actions correct as well.
Both sides resorted to violence at some point and diplomacy wasn't even looked at as an option. And the real losers of their conflict were all of the innocent people that had to die. So strictly morally speaking, both sides were in the wrong.
Israel has a long history of conflict amongst itself and with the Palestinians. There are a great deal of untold dirty deeds they have commited against the Palestinians leading the people of Palestine to believe that they needed to form a rebel alliance. Just like in the case of U.S. vs. Iraq. Isis became the rebel alliance. U.S. at one point was a rebel alliance itself when fighting for its independence. See how this story keeps being hashed and rehashed?
And in the end, the innocent and the neutral always pay. On both sides.
That is why no one country can police the globe. It would hold no moral superiority over its neighbors. And most of the time there is some form of economical deception going on. "You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours"
What is "Palestine", though? I am really asking.
