He's literally everything to me. I didn't even like football as a lil kid. My dad just smiled and said wait till I show you something. Then he proceeded to show me the video clips of Messi, that's when I first fall in love with football.
Me and my dad used to dream about me playing in Camp Nou before I grew older and appreciated more teams.
But before that, it's all about Barcelona with Messi. I showed talent within my school, I was the best at my school, but unfortunately I don't think I have the makings for a professional.
But hey, it's okay, at least I tried, made a lot of loyal friends, and had such great time together. It's really bittersweet memories for me, I miss the summer days and nights on the field, I miss the windy spring and autumn, And I miss the winter games which the sweat will soak my clothes but still have a great time.
To me, Messi the beginning of everything, it influenced, shaped, and changed me in so many aspects.
So thank you Messi, and thank you football. They taught me honor, they taught me integrity,they taught me honesty, they taught me persistence, they taught me trust, and they taught me to never give up.
In this journey, I gained love, friendship, and brotherhood. Most importantly, I learned that though it may never came true, one still can have dreams about dominating the world class 5 star stadiums, and hear the 60,000+ crowds of fans cheering for you😂😂😂
It's my privilege to witness the rise, the prime, and the fall of Messi, but I sincerely hope the football journey for him never ends.
