Excellent training video. I followed it and could fix my box. The only other recommendation I have is to connect the power source to the box as well, when you are doing this. This is because most USB ports on the computers have limited power and the length and type of USB cable may not power the box sufficiently. This insufficient power situation causes error while flashing the box. Thank you for posting the training video.
Just to say THANKS SO MUCH man, You have explained it so simple and it WORKED! My MXQ805 was showing only the static BLUE LIGHT and nothing on screen, now it's working again perfectly! One notice: I didn't manage to do a burning thru Win764x and Win8.1.64x - I've done the job thru the good old WinXpSP3.32. You are the man! ;)

Hello Matthew I need to ask you question.? because you are showing very helpful process, since my MXQ S805 get infacted by Abduls program, I do not have back up file I tried but some hove middle of the back up frozed and I lost the file and box. USB burning dos not work with my box. Why TWRP rejects every zip files I created to cover my box but TWRP fails every zip file. Please give a little in formation because My MXQ S805 box has only red light lost the blue light Aduls KI-Lollipop-20160908 & FREAKTAB.COM file destroy my box and every bodies box. He does not have files to fix the peoples box I am sorry to say. You know more than I am Matthew. Your LAST RESORT I can not even use it because USB BURNING tool does not communicate with the box. If you want to be sure of what model is your MXQ BOX.... open the tv box, you will see even the wifi soc inside. For example mine is a "MXQ S805Q V2.0"

Installed a different build on it, didnt like it and when I went to change it back it messed the box all up. I can get I to recovery but the screen is like 3 or 4 screens over lapping. Uugh.

For some reason it fail's at 94% formatting with [0x30101004]UBOOT/Low power/Send command/Error resul. So im guessing the box is dead :( . Oh well great video anyway's buddy. Thanks anywai
Hello, yesterday I factory reset my MXQ-pro and after it completed, I was (and still am) unable to get into the settings??? What's up with that anyways? Kodi 16 is on it plus Netflix, Terrarium, etc, and they all work, but I can't update Kodi to 17.4, I can't delete apps or apks that I now longer need. "I Can Not Get Into The Settings" but the box still works, 'for now'??? Do you have any advice? If I need to reload the firmware, I do have the USB to USB cable, unfortunately, I don't have any Save Cards equil to or above 8 gig's which is needed to do this the Save Card method. I took to bottom off of the box, blew it out and checked the reset switch in the AV port (because it's no longer working) and it seemed fine, so I put the bottom back on the box and put it away for now. I have 3 other boxes, one doesn't work right, an M8S-pro-android 7.1.1, and 2-T95z-plus boxes, one is android 6.0 and the other is android 7.1.1. "NONE" of them work properly, the M8 only works when it wants to and the 2 T95z's have issues, not the same issues though, 'go figure'??? However, if I can learn how to do the firmware procedure with the MXQ, then I'm hoping that if I can get the M8S working again with new firmware, that would be awesome and with no mistakes because I learned how with the MXQ, and when I want, I can update the firmware on/in the two T95z's. Hi, I have two Android 9.0 TV BOX A95X F... but since day one, I am having a problem with both TV box's mouse pointer, is shown in large size on the screen. I've been trying to minimize the size of the mouse pointer, going through settings and accessibility option, it doesn't work... then I try resetting the box, still looks large...also, when I receive a notification on the notifications bar, I click on it but it doesn't respond/open....I contacted the seller, but all they did was send me the same firmware that I already have in the system, suggesting me to try to re-install it in the system again....any help, please.

Blue light constant, so not dead but will not communicate with laptop, even tried shorting pins as in other tuts but nothing still, any ideas (other than bin it!)? If you have not backed up the original firmware, it is a case of finding one thats suitable and using the install function within TWRP to install the zip files - here are a selection of firmware that MAY work, I cant guarantee that thought, so please proceed with caution - mxqproject.com/files/MXQ-KitKat-Firmware/ - You could also try the lollipop build thats available - mxqproject.com/files/Abduls-Lollipop-5.1.1/
WIll this USB tool flash any box that is amlogic based? So say I needed to fix my M8S+ box that has the S812 in it, this tool would fix it provided I can get the firmware that belongs on this box right?
Yes USB burning tool is an Amlogic tool - You will need a slightly diff version possibly to work with the S812 SOC - probably 2.0.7.2 or 2.0.5.2 - Try this link and try both versions including 2.0.3 as I am not fully sure which is meant for the S812 - You will soon find out, as you just receive connection errors etc - obviously you will need the right android IMG file for your particular hardware aswell - chinagadgetsreviews.com/download-amlogic-usb-burning-tool-v2-0-7-2.html
Well I have a S905 (Not sure though but it looks the same as some pics on google) and last time before it died it was starting up, a android icon was shown for 2seconds and then it all went black. It still has a blue LED light but I have no signal and in the Burning tool the MXQ does not pop up. Can I get some help please :)))))
POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO ERROR STOPPED IN 94% [0x30101004] UBOOT / Low power / Send command / Error: it worked when I changed the USB port and changed the USB_BURNING_TOOL version (it worked with v2.0.6.2_build2). all .img files left me with the same error 94%, but I managed to solve it by doing what I said earlier.

parse burn image is an incorrectly compiled image - get key failed usually requires a license key to be added to burn tool to work - may need a different version of burn tool or request license from the seller

Yeah i have tryed a few that always fail on 4% not really sure what img file i need. I did take the box apart and it say's the model is S805Q-V2 (i think ebay sent me a clone box)
The V2 boards are becoming more common, iv got a few here, really the IMG file available on the MXQProject host should work on your hardware if it is the same as what I have here - assuming uv tried uninstalling and reinstalling USB burning tool and retrying it a few time etc

Means the IMG is corrupt or not being compiled correctly.

Would try a different PC, if you have one
insert USB into PC and ensure you hold in AV port reset button and then insert other USB cable into box - try another PC
Also keep AV button held down as drivers need to install

Hi, I have H96 Pro Plus box 3G/32GB/emmc/DDR3, and am facing "Get key failed" when I'm trying to flash an image, can you please guide me what's the issue? how to fix it? my bix is on, connected successfully, but USB burn tool gives this error,i tried USB TOOL 2.5 and 2.7.
the tool you shared 2.0.3, It doesn't load the image file and gives error "create workflow xml file failed",
probably something to do with the IMG file you have being given
tried various files, on one of the files it doesn't give this error but on 2% it stops, giving another error: "usb control setup error" I also tried flashing using Card burn tool but no response either,
Unfortunately am not familiar with the H96 hardware, its a pretty new device, surely your seller should have the correct files for you

Thank's for this it's very helpfull , I just tryed this on my MXQ S805 that turns on (blue light) but give's me black screen on boot . For some reason it fail's at 4% formatting with UBOOT/Disk initialize/Send command/Error result.
So im guessing the box is dead :( . Oh well great video anyway's buddy.

Yeah i have tryed a few that always fail on 4% not really sure what img file i need. I did take the box apart and it say's the model is S805Q-V2 (i think ebay sent me a clone box)
The V2 boards are becoming more common, iv got a few here, really the IMG file available on the MXQProject host should work on your hardware if it is the same as what I have here - assuming uv tried uninstalling and reinstalling USB burning tool and retrying it a few time etc
