- Was this the perfect packrafting trip? With an equal balance of rafting and hiking, very exciting floating without being terrifying, and scenery that never stops, whether floating or hiking, I'd have to say, Darn Near Perfect! Forrest McCarthy called this loop Fun in the Sun, which seems just right to me.

This one made me want to again watch that 1954 movie "River of No Return" with Robert Mitchum and Marilyn Monroe. Of course I like to rewatch it 'cause of all the great western scenery 😁😉. Thanks for the magnificent Montana scenery and enjoyed (again) all your whoops, hollers, hooting and giggles.
Great movie (and scenery)! Can't stop the hooting and giggles if I tried, floating is just so joyful. This may be the first trip I ever truly felt like doing over again the next day!!

Do you ever fish? You are seeing waters that hardly see any fishermen.
A friend of mine was in the same area one day later than me and reported good fishing on the North Fork, so you're right about that.
