Great review. I didnt expect the Valentino to do so well. It actually held its own against the Gelish. The colors were nice. The black went on pretty well on the first coat. The purple was really pretty. I loved the design you did with it.

Hi, I’m just seeing this review and I really enjoyed it! Iv used Valentino for a while now but it is definitely my least favorite gel to work with even though the pigmentation is wonderful. It’s just that every time I cure it I get wrinkles, and I don’t have this problem with any other gel polish brand that Iv used thus far. Also, I’m sure that it’s likely something that I am doing wrong.. but Iv tried to change how I apply it and it just never seems to fail that I get those wrinkles… which sucks because the bottles of polish are not cheap! Haha. I would So appreciate any suggestions to help. Thank you!
I definitely know what you are talking about! And the secret is very thin coats with any polish that is very pigmented or thick consistency. And that goes for the basecoat as well. Very thin coats. When doing the color coats squish the brush along the inside of the bottle to get out the extra polish that is saturated in the brush. Those little brushes hold a lot of polish. It can be a little tedious in the beginning but you will get the hang of it and it’ll be much easier to work with.

It really shouldn’t be normal. I have had gel polish for a couple of years I would say a few for a few years. Gel polish does have an expiration date and companies cannot guarantee the product after the labeled expiration date however in my experience over years of having colors I have had less than a handful that actually got ugly in the bottle just sitting around. As long as it is not in extreme cold or extreme heat and the bottle is closed properly you really should not have gel polish going bad. Definitely make sure the bottle neck is clean and that you don’t have a bunch of gel polish gunked up around it.but It does happen sometimes. I have a few Valentino polish bottles for over a year and all of them still have great consistency like when I first got them.
The basecoat tends to be a very thin consistency of gel polish and clients will rarely ever feel the heat spike on the basecoat although it definitely is possible. That will tend to happen with people who are just really sensitive or very thin nail plates.
I don’t believe so. I was not able to find anything online and usually companies would be very proud and upfront to it promote that they are vegan or cruelty free.

I know this is from a year ago but did the thin application work? Could it also be that your lamp isn’t strong enough to cure it properly?

I use Valentino I love the shine! Buttt I hate how it peels off . I looking for a different top coat that’s really shiny and doesn’t peel off
Hmmm Do you mean the topcoat peels off separating from the gel polish or the manicure it’s self peels off from the nail plate?
I have the same issue, it is chipping and peeling off a day or two after Application, even with very thin coats
