What’s poppin, Variants? It’s me, MT and welcome back to the HS show! But listen up, Gang. After these first two episodes of an insanely good Loki Season 2, I’ve only got one thing to say: I do not trust Ouroboros AT ALL! Listen, I love actor Key-Huoy-Kwan as much as the next human being with a soul…and I know OB is a nice man to everyone he meets and I was legitimately happy to see him get the recognition he deserved from his number one fan KC in Episode 2…but THAT MAN…is a man with a motive…and I believe he could very well be the true main villain of the entire season as the main reason why a lot of this chaos is happening. Let’s dive into why this could be the case together, my nerd babies!
Alright so… I know a lot of you are wondering why I’m accusing a man who is effectively the TVA’s version of Winnie the Pooh of high time crimes and multiverse misdemeanors…and you know what? I don’t blame you. So far in the series, it very much appears that OB is just a happy guy who is excited to help the new friends he’s made into trying to save the TVA from destruction. But nonetheless, I’m still here to tell you today on this day that OB…is truly an O.P. An OP! The true villain of the season that is seeking revenge against all the employees who have wrong him for eons…especially one Mobius M. Mobius.

This is an interesting theory. But - wouldn’t OB actually like Mobius because he had been visited by him when the others hadn’t? 🤔 I would think that perhaps OB’s beef is with He Who Remains/Kang because he was left alone & not included in the group, like Renslayer had? Or what if he is the person behind Miss Minutes? That is, he lied🤔And Miss Minutes isn’t actually working for Kang but him?

Lastly, do you have a theory as to how Kang managed to wipe out all the TVA workers’ memories & kept them in the TVA? He doesn’t have the same magic as someone like the Lokis or Wanda. 🤔🤨 I have no theories on this and wondered if you did? ✌️

O.B definitely isn't a regular human, and I think your theory could be it. Even if he isn't a secret villain, something is clearly off with him
This is coming from an enthusiast opinion so don’t come for me in the comments. I’ve only watched the movies and shows for its intended purpose, entertainment. 😂 It’s his name. Plain and simple. Plenty of baddies act like they’re really friendly before letting people know they’re actually evil. He’s a sociopath.
OB is a kang variant
He helped build the TVA is what he did! He wrote the TVA handbook, and thanklessly repairs equipment with no sleep! And in this house OB is a hero! End of story!

I feel like OB could be some important player in the Multiverse Saga but not as the villain. He could be the original/real time keeper who lost to Kang and got trapped in TVA fixing things.
I genuinely don’t think OB is evil or even out for his own ends. Yes he may be isolated and frustrated that people don’t read the guide books. However, he is a fanatic fixer and intelligent person but he wears his emotions and thoughts on his sleeve. He’s valuable now so why would he want to change that. I think he’s also a victim of kang and has no idea how the TVA started, only how the mechanical side of it works. I just can’t see him or the actor who plays him being malicious in any way.
Agreed, I don't think his "do you think it's more important than fixing this?" Line in episode 2 was sarcastic or passive aggressive. I think he just says what he means and isn't good with social interaction because of how long he has been alone

But we know Marvel studios likes to pull the rug right up from under us. He could be completely inconspicuous in his intent and that might be why some are starting to speculate he is the secret villian .
Yeah bro.. Unexpected twists are not always good. We don’t want OB as a villain. He might be the person who enjoys working with technology.
I think you have to ignore a few scenes for this theory to be true. There are scenes of Ob alone, talking to himself, with genuine good-guy concern, that clashes with the whole bad guy theory.
Maybe he knew we were watching?
I really don't think OB is a bad guy. He showed how much he cared about Loki and Mobius when he was counting down to close the blast doors and kept repeating "three, three" even knowing that delaying closing the blast doors could end the TVA
You pointing out the sacred timeline being the ouroboros is genius, the loom combining the strands into the sacred timeline where it then branches off into new timelines to only be pruned or shoved back into the loom back onto the sacred timeline makes perfect sense to me. I also believe O.B could be building a device to extract whole timelines out of the loom not just people like they did with loki.
Maybe to start his own sacred timeline he can control. This all makes perfect sense. Once he takes off the jumpsuit it will all make sense.
I have a single theory. Three time keepers, based on 3 founding members. Kang, Renslayer, OB.
Edit: They aren't the robots, obviously. But they inspired that idea.
Mobius is one as well. He is the literal 2nd OB
Once again MT you have blown my mind. I am holding out hope that OB is not bad, but the facts do seem to line up. I really like the insight into the loneliness as a theme in the show. I always appreciate how superhero stories mirror back what is happening in society.
There is loop holes and a lot nobody remembers anything because they get there minds wiped and OB clearly was left alone so I don’t think his a villain
OB has too much power & knowledge for a person that is kept in solitude & sheltered from the consequences of literally anything (e.g., his tech & the TVA systems as a whole). That’s truly frightening. That’s a character that makes me super uneasy.
The thing is most of TVA members were wiped for various reason not just to get them to work their so we don’t know if OB got wiped after the fact
I genuinely believe OB is not evil but I'm pretty sure there's more to his character than being just the Tech guy 😁
Maybe that's why they chose this actor... he's great at playing two different characters, like in everything, everywhere, all at once. Maybe they plan to have him switch characters at the end of the season, from nice and sweet, to sinister and evil.

If OB was a Kang variant, the computer would have acknowledged his temporal aura thingy and allowed him access to the system
not necessarily... do all variants share identical auras? if so then whats the purpose of scanning them as the TVA first did with Loki in season 1, episode 1? i dont think OB is a variant Kang (tho it seems possible), i just think he's secretly a disgruntled employee.

Not too likely, as it's been shown in Quantumania that Kang is a nexus being and all Kangs over the multiverse look like Jonathan Majors (with the exception of the Skrull looking one)

If anything, I feel like Victor Timely is not only a Kang variant, but he IS actually He Who Remains, but his past version, He Who Will Become, basically at the stage of his origin story.
OB is kang in disguise, which is why, in episode four they shake hands and admire each other. No one would suspect that he is Kang. This is also why he’s the only one in research and development. He isn’t always there, but since he knows when things will happen, he’s just there when he needs to be.

I will say this, I’m the type of person who would’ve been OBs friend. After an accidental visit, I would’ve been there more often. He seems endearing.

Ke Huy Quan has always portrayed nice/good characters. Fiege offered him a chance at being a bad guy. He has been craving recognition for his acting and is finally getting some and can explore his abilities now.

You could argue that people are having their memories wiped by rinslayer and that OB is being punished by Kang for discovering kang in his first pruning from the sacred timeline. He may be trying to figure everything out once he saw loki timeskipping in the TVA and is a secret hero not villain
Also if OB was a Kang variant then his temporal aura wouldn't have blocked his access.
MT has the best theories.
But with OB being the villian, honestly, Dox is the "hero" she prolonged the time before the war by pruning. The presentation was a lie, but the threats were real. And she's willing to go against orders to "fight" Kang coming.
And mobious doesn't have new memories of loki because his mind was wiped after he met him.
based on nonsense - all of his evidence is so obviously not true (Loki's time slipping was caused by Sylvie - people don't remember OB because they've had their minds wiped and are forbidden from interacting with each other outside of TVA business - the thing OB was working on was NOT the thing Mobius had because Mobius didn't bring it back in) ... so much that DOESN'T add up at all ... though I find the correlation with the Sacred Timeline interesting
Ok, not only is MT the best addition to this channel, but Marvel has got to poach this guy and get him in the writers room. He is blowing my mind and making this show EVEN more fun to watch!! OB is DEF Mr. Griffin and makes total sense. And this would open the door to them recasting Kant if they need to should things not do well with Majors court situation. Then the audience would understand a Kang variant can look like anyone.

OB is the only one that can tell time in the TVA.... He knows the story...
It was my understanding that OB was the only one whose memory wasn't tampered with (no one remembers the original murals and statues, and really believed it was lizard men in charge of the time stream), which might in fact have driven him a little nuts from being alive (and awake) for 400+ years. Now I'm wondering if OB is a variant of He Who Remains since it seems he helped build the whole system.
If ob was a Kang variant, wouldn't his temporal aura be enough to activate temporal cooldown?.. he said they needed either he who remains(who is dead) or miss minutes(to override the code)..
@@NadellaVasishta the temporal aura identifies which variant you are. so only the original Kang who built the TVA could access that area, none of his alternate selves.

OB must have been there from the start & worked with Kang, he's the only one that's not been memory wiped as well.
As Erik Voss pointed out his s2e1 breakdown, OB resembles that disgruntled worker in Office Space, demoted to some forgotten, dark space corner in the basement. He eventually blew a fuse.

I think Loki S1 showed us the end of the sacred timeline/ rebirth of multiverse and now we’re going to see the end of whatever timeline the TVA is on and they both will restart together.

mobius didn't remember OB because his memory has been erased several times its why no one remembers him hes the only one who's memory is still completely intact
Remember the ring stains? Renslayers kept wiping his memory whenever he would figure it out. Same for everyone else, except for OB. Since he's so secluded down there, there's no reason to have his memory wiped.
The thing is he wasn’t dismissive to Cassie for being shady. Cassie was going to recommend him a method from the guidebook OB wrote which he says.
He was gonna try a bypass that is in the book written by OB but that won’t work after the blast door have been closed and only HWR can open it

Doom used Molecule Man to hold together Battleworld. OB is holding together the timelines of the universe with his repairs. Kang captured Molecule Man and somehow messed with his head and changed his name to Ouraboras. OB is Molecule Man. Or at least the MCU equivalent. And he doesn't remember who he is.

I think he’s a time bomb for Kang. Once He Who Remains is killed, OB will build a weapon of destruction. And in the first episode, the concept time is messed up unlike the first season. So, I believe he knows what he is doing.

Damn, makes sense that it would all be a plot. Also the fact that Mobius doesn't even recognize him makes me wonder if O.B. was even there the whole time. We were introduced after the branches were created. O.B could've went there from a branch to a department he knew no one goes to and assume the role of someone that no one has ever met. Therefore eliminating any suspicion and counted on Mobius no remembering something that happened 400 years ago (although time works different in the TVA) and the panic of what is going on so Mobuis wouldn't think too deeply into it.
1:59 I feel like O.B. saying 'it's been 400 years' and Mobious not even remembering being down there is a sign O.B. was never reset

If there was a tva reset he would have been there since it seems to happen after the crack in the floor.cperhaps he’s doing the mind wipes, he doesn’t seem puzzled that mobius doesn’t remember, even kind of playing coy in correcting his lack of memory.
My only insight is your trigger theory breaks down assuming that all kangs have the same temporal aura, allowing Dr. Timely to bypass the door … Seems like they would have different temporal auras, even if your theory were incorrect. I assume we will find that timely doesn’t have the ability to open it or can bypass it :) keep up the great work.

It's good to see "Ke Huy Quan" in Loki. For most who have no idea who he is well if you grew up in the Goonies era he was known as "Data" the nerd tech kid with funny lines. The guy who sets "booty traps" and loved his gadgets.
They did good making him the role of OB as both are very similar in personality.
