Micah was a good player. He had terrible luck with injuries unfortunately. I am not a City fan but those teams he was a part of were fun to watch. I still remember their first FA Cup win.
Can't even remember a defender under 19 hyped up like Micah was at the time since then so he definitely have a point. Some of the same with John Stones but still miles away.

Micah was my RB in FIFA 08 or 10, i dont remember the year. He had insane stats when bought young and put to training. In real world his hype was immense, so yeah he did burst onto the scene.

To be fair, I did think he was an amazing talent when he first got into the Man City team and very quickly started playing for England. Incredible athlete, looked equally good at right back or centre back. He had a good career but he should have achieved a lot more.

I remember seeing Micha and Daniel Sturridge in the youth Cup final against Liverpool at Anfield. The pair of them were far and away the best players on the pitch. I'm a Liverpool fan but I remember being jealous of Citeh for having them. Our best player was Jay Spearing..... He certainly didn't achieve what he should have. Neither did Sturridge either. One of the most naturally gifted strikers I've ever seen. But made of glass.

I really don't like the terms overhyped and overrated as they are very much overused... However, if you apply a certain standard it would definetly fit for Micah Richards. Played less than half of possible games in his career and never was close to being considered world class.
@@Yokozumas You are right in the usage of the terms. However one must not necessarily be long lived to have lived well. They that understand the game know that what Richard did was Sufficient to cement his place. That's why that aura of confidence he speaks with cannot be taken away from even in the midst of Keane, Neville, Henry etc. He was a Baller to say the least and thise who understand the beautiful game will give him the honour due him.
