The fact Micah, a 2nd choice RB by his own admission, has probably made more money than 2 of our greatest ever goal scorers is a huge reason why a lot of people fell out of love with modern day football

Footballers and athletes in general, are not paid merely by their skillsets. There are other variables that determine how much an athlete is getting paid. The most important one is the amount of money available in the industry/sport branches they are in. It doesn't matter how much goals Messi and Ronaldo scored, they wouldn't get paid that much if there's only £10mill worth of money circling in the entire football industry.
