This is one of the best jollof rice recipes on youtube. It's so similar to how my friend and her mom makes hers and it's delicious. That's why I love Ghanian jollof rice over Nigerian jollof rice. Please don't hate on my comment for the Nigerians out there because you clicked on a Ghanian jollof rice video for a reason. lol....
So we can cook different types not bcos anyone is better dan d other. All depends on who is cooking... no need for unhealthy comparison.
I don’t really see much of a difference with the cooking method
@@biboghaebimerechioma8896 Thank what a reasonable response you gave to her.

I've tried this recipe a few times and I really like it. Today I made this recipe in the rice cooker. I made the stew on the stove top and then added it to the rice cooker on the stew and simmer setting. Once it started to bubble I added the rice and water and just let it cook. I has to add extra water to make sure the rice is cooked.
Thanks for sharing this recipe!

I am from the Caribbean and I am going to cook this for the first time for my boyfriend who is from Ghana. I will let you know how it turns out.
I'm rooting for you and will be waiting for your results..Good luck trying 🤗
It's been a year now
How did it go 💃
I made it a few times. The first time the flavors were there but the rice was too soft. I also tried making in the rice cooker and it turned out great. I'm still trying to master the right amount of liquid but as they say, practice makes perfect!
damphatty hi! I’m Ghanaian, maybe I can help - after you wash your rice, sieve it, but keep the little water remaining in a bowl, then pour your rice in and stir, then after about five minutes, sprinkle your salt and then add about quarter cup of your water (you can half the amount if you’re not sure) and stir, then check every four minutes or so, and add the water bit by bit each of those four minutes till you’re satisfied with the amount. That’s what I do to prevent putting too much and it always works. Hope this helps ❤️
Nice
I like the opening song from Rex Gyamfi. Just to let you know, I followed your instructions and came up with a lovely goat meat Jollof rice this afternoon. Absolutely fabulous. Thanks for what you do.
