- It's that time of Year... SATs. All children are capable of amazing things and SATS does not define you. This video brings together a range of tips that I have gained from my experience teaching Year 6. Relax, take your time and triumph to name a few.
I know that you will all do well. I would rather not say good luck as that implies that it is needed. I prefer the saying: you've got this!

Thomas Blakemore *When the SATS practice questions are harder than the actual SATS papers I actually felt confident my teacher went over 2 questions in reasoning 2 and 3 and I got them right which made me feel proud again thanks man for the positivity and help I definitely owe you one

I did mine today guys. There is *NOTHING* to stress about. You can do it. I know it is hard trying something you have never done before. However much stress and pressure your teachers put on you, you can do it!

oh my gosh..... thank you so much for all of those 6 tips i felt really scared at the start of this year 6 i felt so worried and fragile but now I am getting confident from this video though i am not confident to speak to my teacher she is kind but even to my parents I feel like everyone will say NO in my face especially in SATs thank you for this!

Xawo Adan dont stress! Its not as hard as it seems and if you can, revise! I didnt revise as much as i should and i regret it so take up the oppertunity to revise and relax
J BOSS if you can, ask your teacher if you can look at your previously done papers and see where you went wrong, then practaice doing that specific thing

Now these are important things some people do in SATS which you should not do :
• Don't be over confident
• Never Procrastinate (don't waste time)
• Don't demotivate yourself be (positive)
• Read the question carefully think around the answer
• If you are finished earlier then check make sure you haven't made silly mistakes (talking about GPS) use of capital letters, full stops and make sure you do a punctuation sweep (looking over all questions to see if you've missed any use of punctuation)
• Move on from a question if your finding it difficult you have time at the end to answer so don't be worried over one question

its funny for me to see all of this abiut sats recently since i did mine last year lol. just stay chill and youll be fine. i treated it like an average test and got 111 on my spag test, 113 on my reading test and 104 on my maths
I’m currently going through them! I’ve listened to his advice and it has really helped me statistically, as I have realised some of the things I’ve done wrong!

As someone who did the 2023 SATs I’ll be sharing my tips that could help u with the sats!
1. Start preparing early, Sats have 3 subjects:English,Maths,Comprehension! So with the subject there are mini topics that you will need to learn like Ratio or Algebra!
2.Avoid burnouts as it can affect your learning in a bad way! Try studying 30 mins then break then 30 mins then break then keep on doing that until you have reached ur satisfaction
3. Make a timetable to be a lil more organised

i thought that was on parents evening. maybe schools do things differently.
MegaGamerDude You can't really pass or fail the tests. You have levels to indicate what level you are in for English and maths.
SBN is significantly bellow national standard
WTS is working towards national standard
EXS is expected standard
GDS is greater depth standard
It really depends if you understand the questions in the test paper.

I finished my SATs yesterday! It didn't feel like the real SATs to be honest and the English for me was super easy! The maths was still hard for me but I think I did better than last time! But if you are panicking for the SATs when you come to year 6, don't worry it is going to be a blast and you will feel relaxed after the SATs.

Also one tip, you have around 60 minutes or one hour to to your reading paper. So, each text take 20 minutes because three texts and each 20 minutes will be perfect.

SATS this Week-Today (Monday) We did our SPAG and spelling-Tuesday we do our reading Wednesday we do our arithmetic and reasoning 1 and on Thursday we do our reasoning 2!!!!
