    DK has done amazing research on biomechanics. He seems to be able to distill the essence of several internal martial arts. Many people honour him by comparing his performance with Bruce Lee but I think it is Bruce’s analytic mind, the research, that makes DK comparable to Bruce Lee. He seems to be an educated and classy human being. A modern martial artist. Not like some of the Neanderthals that have taken over martial arts.

    I understand what the master is explaining. The Power or Qi is already moving, what we must learn is to kind of connect our body to the moving energy. In order to accomplish this, relaxation and tension are necessary internally and externally.

    Some of the people on here sound like the villains in Bruce Lee Movies. Your Kung Fu no Good, I will teach you a lesson Heeeey! Lol get your heads out of your buts and recognize that someone has MASTERED the fundamental principles of human Kinetic Motion and is taking the work of Jeet kun Do to a new level. We have more knowledge available than what we had 40 years ago so it is human nature to excel past its teachers. Form the looks of it Just like Bruce Lee he would probably say Is mastering instead of has mastered at least internally, oh and grammar police, I know this post has flaws

      @highperformancehumans Před 7 lety +19

      1845Raven in Tai Chi it's called loading the bow. There are several bows within the body, imagine a bow and arrow. Once you load, you're creating a potential energy structure within the body. If you use it as a reactionary force to compliment another movement, this is how you get dkyoo style speed. Make sense?

      Everyone can explain it but no one can teach it to you. You can't apply it just because you know what it is or even how it works, especially when it involves your whole body. You have to feel it. Literally feel it and understand it. Not just "know" it.

    I m fed up with comments like "go and fight mma fighter if you dare hahaha"
    can you just understand that fighting is art? Everyone are looking at that like "hey i know how to fight i will go kick some asseZZZ" Thats a big NO NO if u think that u r strong enough to kick anyone u must use your skills for defending yourself or helping the weak one to become stronger
    And yes i m learning martial arts not to hurt anyone but to defend the weak

    Few nights ago, I was talking to a fellow workout buddy about this gentleman and his tecniques. Long story short, I ended up demonstrating some of the strikes at the friend... and ended up knocking him down because I mis-judged the distance and had poor control/form. Lesson here is do not try out these tecniques on other people unless you guys have the proper gears on (gloves, head gear, mouth piece etc.)... especially when you are just learning them! I felt horrible and embarressed. Yikes. Luckily I wasn't actually putting full motion behind the strike (which even then, it was enough to hurt and knock down the friend...).
