- Part 7 (Chapter 2) KRIS IS FINE, we're fine. Everyone is fine, I think? Well, we made it back to the Dark World... Ralsei did this all overnight?!?
With my recent Undertale play through still fresh in my mind (and in my heart) I dive into Deltarune, Undertale's parallel story. Thank you for joining me for this first playthrough, I can't wait to over zealously connect the barely visible dots between Toby Fox's games!

Not gonna lie, as someone who’s been in the fanbase since 2018, it’s so fun watching someone new connect the dots for the first time, especially concerning Kris. Can’t wait to see the rest of this chapter and your reaction to a certain… thing involving them.

The reason Seam says you must not have noticed the shadow crystal is because when chapter 1 was originally released, Jevil didn’t actually drop one. That dialogue was sort of a way of retconning it into existence. A few weeks after chapter 2 came out, chapter 1 was updated so that you actually get the shadow crystal from defeating him.

this video is already like, a month old now but the voice in undertale's game over is NOT sans lol, it's someone else you know... Frisk and "fiz" have an odd connection, when you die or go unconscious in undertale (like the very beginning of the game's cutscene, sleeping in toriel's house after her fight, or someone helping you up when undyne makes you fall in waterfall) it's the first fallen child, fiz's memories. the death screen is things asgore said to them when they were on their deathbed from their illness, telling them to stay determined.
I was so confident when I said this only to realize I was wrong later, lol! Thank you for pointing that out though. That voice being Asgore's is so much better.
3:36 If i remember correctly, in undertale, the golf game says which trait are for each soul colour, but it doesn't talk about the red one, everyone in the fandom used to assume red is determination because of the save points, but in the game it seems every human soul has determination, and Determination is only referred in gold text during the game(if the context is about the power determination, otherwise is default white).
I wonder if the nature of determination has changed along with the nature of the world when we shifted from Undertale to Deltarune - I say this because, Undertale mostly talks about determination using a clear divide between humans and monsters but It's implied in Deltarune that determination is inherit to lighteners, who at this point seem to be a majority monster.
@@fizzip0p it probably did changed, but in the genocide Run of Undertale, it implies that a certain monster has Determination, I will not say which since you didn't played yet, but it seems like monster can naturally gain Determination.
@@SpOwOkysNeutral also implies it.
The Player is also likely present in Undertale, though to a less noticeable amount.
Chapter 2 is so good. It completely blows Chapter 1 out of the water I can't wait to watch you experience this

Fun fact: You can see Kris's red eye when they enter the dark world.
49:03 this is a cut enemy, only appering in the final showdown against king and here-> it says that "fighting wasnt in the cards for us" as a refrence to how you never see them as an enemy
As I’m watching this I’m unsure if anybody else has mentioned this: you said you were looking for UT/DR theory videos and I HIGHLY recommend Jaru’s videos. He does MASSIVE in depth analysis and theory’s about Deltarune and they’re some of my favorites. I also recently watched the “Writing on the Wall” True Lab Undertale theory by Sock Muppet that completely recontextualized how I view the True Lab Text.
9:36 I believe this is asgore speaking to you! A lot of people believe this is meant to be a reference to a conversation asgore would have had with CHARA when they had gotten sick and before they died. This would have made sense from how we also remember CHARA meeting asriel in undertale as well!
I'll use my typical comment layout here (timestamps with tidbits and thoughts) but I have so much more to say but can't because you haven't had the info revealed yet.
I've been very careful not to include my opinions or takes on this game because I love hearing everyone else's thoughts be unspoiled, and I only plan on giving theories once we're done here.
And on the topic of videos and such, I wouldn't recommend watching anything until you finish Deltarune chapter 2 (since most theories and speculation pull from it.)
The only thing I'd recommend viewing is once you complete the game, check out misty sparkles "Who Dr. Gaster is and why that matters to Deltarune." Because Gaster is...explaining it here is pointless since the video does a much better job. (It's actually that video i wanted you to do a reaction to once you finished this game if you remember.)

I do remember the misty sparkles video! I have it saved to watch after ch. 2. I am 100% going to watch it, but still unsure about the reaction video, I wouldn't feel right posting a reaction without adding to the original work, so if I can't achieve that, I won't post a reaction!

My most favorite of analysis vvideos is
"What do Undertale and Deltarune say about meaning of life" which expands upon the freedom and nihilism part of the game's meaning.
BUT it has spoilers for chapter two characters (and a bit of ch2 plot)

You might not notice this given how closely you played them, but there's a lot of references to how long it took for Chapter 2 to come out. We'll probably see similar comments in Chapter 3.

Hey Fiz! It's really really cool to see people experiencing both Undertale and Deltarune for the first time after all these years, and I love your reactions and analysis! This has been a great playthrough so far.
This is more regarding Undertale, but there are two things I can't recommend you enough as I think you'll find them super interesting.
First thing is I think you should Watch Undertale's Genocide route. Many people will see this is an improper way to experience this route, and in a way it is, but considering how horrible the route is I think not doing it is very reasonable. But this run is so, so good, and it has some of the best scenes in the game by far, so I think watching it on youtube is a very solid solution to still experience it.
Jacksepticeye's playhtorugh of the genocide route is very good, but it would be neat if you can maybe watch a no-commentary playthrough, and post your full reaction to it. If you're down for that? It would be a BLAST to see it and I think many viewers will agree with me on that.
The other thing I highly recommend is for you to watch
ead online about the Gaster secrets from Undertale. What is it? Well you have to find out by yourself. I personally recommend Merg's video on it, it sums all what it is very well; It would be so cool to see your live reaction to that video, as the Gaster secrets are by far the wildest stuff the Undertale community has ever found and they are very relevant to Undertale AND Deltarune. Don't miss them out! Misty sparkles has a video on Gaster's wide relevance in Deltarune, but I recommend watching Merg's for the blind reaction. Also, if you do plan watching the Genocide route, then it is recommended looking up the Gaster secrets only after it.
Would be really cool if you made videos about these things, but if not I do still highly recommend watching them yourself! And there's still plenty left from Chapter 2 for you to play, so that'll be fun, this chapter is so good. That's all, have a good day and enjoy!

I am currently playing with the idea of some reactions for UTDR content *but* I will only commit if I can add to the base content in a meaningful and respectful way... still figuring out if I can manage that! I will at the very least be watching everyone's recommendations.

@@fizzip0p the geno route reveals some more of the lore and why people like Sans so much. But I think it's more interesting to get to know about Gaster by now, bc there's a lot of references to him in DR (vessel creation song, cellphone noise, sound in bunker room), so we could see you theorize about it.
And there's also the "weird route" in Chapter 2, which leaves us even more intrigued about what will come in the next chpaters.
I still couldn't get to a conclusion on what Toby is up to for DR, but I know it's gonna be awesome!

nevermind, i kinda lost motivation to do so. But I wanna say, that if someone is speaking english as a sound, it means they are secret boss, and you should try to go with their quest. Expect Rouxls and ppl from undertale. But you can't really fight Rouxls, so...
Maybe I gotta write about every little thought i have like some other guy tomorrow.
