one thing to note is that if any other player is inside the nether but not near the portal chamber, the guardians that went through the portal will immediately despawn. Therefore you will need to make sure no one is in the nether when you use this farm, or have 1 other player afk near the portal chamber so the guardians will not despawn.
i have a problem where my friends go to the nether then go out of it, the farm stops working because the guardians arent going through the portal where they fall
Works flawlessly on 1.20.4. I rotated the gates just in case when building this and it worked immediately without a hassle.
Hey I made the nether portal the same as the one in the video but it keeps getting messed up and the guardians are just in the nether (below roof) lafging the server

I know im late but a quick tip for the farm, if u hate the knockback go to the left fence look behind you and place a block on the glass and a fence gate infront of you.

This farm was working perfectly last night but now isn't (No guardians are falling down) and I can't figure out why. What are some things I could do to troubleshoot? The hopper clock is still going, guardians are seemingly going into the portals and not coming back out..
I would reset the redstone in the nether. Usually they gates bug out when entering in and out of the nether at a certain time.
Did you fix it? Having the same problem rn
@@furious5508 in my case it was because someone else was on the server and in the nether.
@@RSmeep13 if anyone is in the nether, the farm won't work until there are no players in the nether? (im thinking about building this on a server as well)

Why is the materials for the build wrong so many materials add not add i had to go 5 time to bring extra scaffolding Hopper and glass and etc

Servers work differently I’m pretty sure if someone’s in the nether then the guardians immediately despawn as soon as they go through the 3 portals
I've linked the portals to the nether with an auto killing / storage system with cambfires. Can you tell me where I should built the afk platform?

Bit confused, he already did the tutorial? I'm not hating as I'm sure you do other content as well, but unless you are adding something new this is just part of the much larger Shulkercraft problem.
I get this a lot. I've had permission from him to make the builder a LOT shorter than his video. This video skips the explanation on how it works and gets straight to the tutorial. I aim to make the tutorial quick and easier to follow, aslong as I have permission

Can the iron bars in the killing chamber be replaced with anything? Alot of loot gets stuck on them and i dont want to break the farm

i did it perfectly what you did in the video. but somehow the guardians stucked at the nether portal and couldn't across to the overworld. any solution or maybe there's something I miss?

@@g6wic in my case my fence doors didn't work properly. only one door that opened and closed too fast and the rest didn't even work at all. So, yeah, i rearranged the redstones. I used more than what's in the video to connected all the doors, hoppers, and such. And it worked perfectly.
13:12 the portal take me to a new portal under ground, shouldn't it take me to the killing chamber that I created ? (I double checked the coordinates (in the overworld its -832 , , -97, which should be -107 , , 12 in the nether world))

The portal in the killing area is okay and work good but the portal in the ocean take me to a random place in the nether

is it possible to build something to not take damage from them? I end up not being able to afk since they damage me
You can set up a regeneration beacon
You can just build a killing chamber at the nether roof with campfires/soul campfires to make it fully afk. There is no way to not take damage from them while attacking so as the dude above me said just set up a regen beacon or a macro to auto-eat the raw fish drops from the guardians
What’s the point of this video when Ian’s tutorial is perfectly fine, if not better?

2. this video is shorter and doesnt have any explanations on how the farm works. Many people prefer this as Ian's farm can be a pain to navigate to some people.

I’ve also seen many players ask “Does it work in 1.xx.x?” with no changes in the farm with earlier versions. Including bedrock players asking if it works on Bedrock when the title explicitly says “Java edition.”

Yes just put blocks in front of regular pistons you might have to make the thing wider though

Not sure why it wouldn't work on bedrock however I wouldn't try it in survival. I would recommend building it in creative first.

it works even faster on spigot/paper servers because the xp merges allowing you to collect more xp!
