You can actually just put a TNT and a sand on top of the TNT and it will explode and break blocks underwater. I think it's simpler than placing dirt around it and activating it with a Redstone block.

Sort of similar the Cortezerino's concept but with this one you can send them up a little higher and set up an xp killing area as well if you want. But then you'd need a regen beacon etc but still nice.

Eliminate the campfires and bring them up to the afk spot and swing away
A trident killer works well for that too.

TIP: insted of milk honey is better becouse it removes only bad efects
honey only removes poison, nothing else

The only effect honey removes is poison I believe

There are better food sources than cooked fish. You'd be better off trading the raw fish to Fishermen.
Does it matter what I do with the monument below? I have one that I was thinking of making a Guardian farm with, but it is in Bedrock. I also have it pretty intact with a Conduit centered below the whole monument to facilitate any work I do.I men I might just dry it out on the inside and convert it to a base or a storehouse.
Does not, but the afk spot on bedrock will be different depending on how many chunks you choose to load (4,6,8 or 10). Keep that in mind.

Really nice farm, although can phantoms kill you up there? Btw don't try to build the farm without invisibility potions, even with netherite armor...

just place doors and swim around the door when a guardian beams you, it will cut off their beam

I think you have to place water under scaffoldings to let the guardians spawn

On the four outside corner, 6 scaffold pillars: Is the waters surface always 6 blocks up
or could one expect that height to vary?
I believe ocean monuments always spawn at the same Y level.

Would draining the monument effect the rates or just negate them overall? Trying to turn the same monument into a storage area.
I’m curious about this aswell I’m sure it has to improve them but I don’t know, can guardians spawn in the soul sand bubble columns? If anybody knows I’d appreciate the answer ❤ cause I’m already almost done draining the monument whenever I found this video.
@@ACasualNameGames yes, guardians spawn in bubble columns, otherwise this farm would've been pretty useless ;)
Also, if you're going to drain the momument anyway, mights as well make a small perimeter around it, and make a "fish-tank" for them to spawn and push them to a kill chamber.

Seems like this wouldn't be too tough to convert to a looting farm with some minor tweaks.

Very simple with minimal tweaks. Just build the original pillar up to the same height as the AFK platform and build a killing chamber with hoppers covered by carpets and a slab to swing your sword for kills rather than campfires.

Does it work on bedrock? I created this in my survival world but guardians are not going up to the top, not even getting on platform they Just keep attacking squids. ANY SOLUTION?
Now, I've made a new farm in survival which works fine and also good for xp collection. JC plays channel have uploaded that farm, i replicated it and it worked on bedrock. So, for bedrock playes i suggest making that farm. And make that farm with peaceful difficulty mode. So, no invisibility potions will be required for that farm and after making it, change your difficulty back to normal or hard(important step) as only then your farm will work properly.
In bedrock, the distance of the afk platform depends on a setting you choose at the start (4, 6, 8 or 10). So you have to move your afk platform according to that, so squids dont spawn outside the bubble area. Im assuming thats why it failed.

It’s pretty ridiculous. We made an old school one, and cleared out the temple. Then ran a hopper line down into it, and built a massive sorter in my old world. We had multiple chests for each, and turned the temple into a base, with an auto glass door, among other things.
It’s a huge feat doing that though. We used pillars to block the outside spawn points, and used sponges, and nether portal to dry them.

Not much for this farm, as the limiting factor is actually the kill rate (notice how backed up it gets with guardians as he AFKs) not keeping up (and thus the spawn cap getting filled). Also, most of the spawn area is being excluded just due to the AFK platform being so high.
The first step to improve rates for this farm would be to lower the kill chamber down so that the guardians take a big hit of fall damage on their way down onto the fires. You might get some despawns before death that way, however.
You could also do dispensers with splash Harm II potions on a slow clock to help clear the farm every few minutes as it gets clogged up if you have a good supply of easy Harm II potions (some witch farms produce Health potions to convert or if you have tons of extra gold from a good gold farm).
Why not making the killing chamber ~128 above the soul sand? It could be a great XP farm too.. I'm going to test it!

@@alpha1393 Yes, you can build the AFK platform/killing chamber 128 blocks above the soulsand. Additionally, extending the bubble elevator about 30 blocks above the killing chamber will enable you to drop-damage the guardians and to one-hit them!
@@tomaskorenek3884 can you continue the scaffolding bubble elevator up or do you need to turn it into a glass one so the guardians don’t fall out?

Honey only removes certain debuffs, the mining curse not being one of them. Bc Mojang makes sure Minecraft is as complicated as possible 😂

So I had a major problem with your design.
I tried to follow it, but at 6:50 where you put down the water, the water *_extinguishes_* the soul campfires on Bedrock.
I’m sure this is just a difference in versions, but I’d add 3x signs to the list of building materials to counter that issue
Also, *_YOU NEVER MADE A WAY FOR THE PLAYER TO GET BACK UP TO THE AFK AREA_*

I just tried to follow along with the steps and unless I gotta do something different or tweak it on my end, my fires went out bcz of the water. I would like a no portal one, it'd be easier for me to understand and make the farm. Otherwise ill see what I must do.

It does as long as you put signs over the campfires. It’s not perfect but it seems to work fine for me
