Your verbal self control was amazing towards the end of the vid.
Top man, our James 🤣
346xp's are the best. Absolutely love mine. Get her going again
Thanks buddy! It would be like a new saw if I did as so much needs doing 😂
Love the 346! I currently have 2 just sold the new edition and a original edition. I’m in process of building another new edition 346
Nice video. My favourite is the old 254. I have two, one fully rebuilt and one in the process of being rebuilt. Both bought new by me in the 90’s and then given away in the early 2000’s. Got them back this year and both in need of attention but easy to work on. Happy Christmas
My old man ran 254s for the best part of two decades and loved every moment of it. I think he had atleast three in total, switched to the 357 when the 254 got discontinued.
@@wellend89 I went to the 357 also, another great saw
Ive just bought one of these from a mate of mine. I found this video extremely interesting.
Thanks mate 👍🏼
Merry Christmas to the whole Machinery Nation family bless you all 🎅🏻
Loving the rebuild videos!
Another great video, my favourite saw would have to be the Husky 550 XP Mark 2
Would you happen to have a top cylinder cover for a 346xp pre 2008 that doesn't have the primer bulb hole that you would be willing to sell?
Great video the three series is great I still reach for my 353 before my 550 every day.
Defo, 300 all the way 😎
346xpg OE 45cc with a 42mm bore
as opposed to the ne being 50.1cc @ 44.3mm x 32mm
2.5kw to 2.7kw respectively.
The the OE 346 was made to replace the 246xp, though I’m lead to believe the ne was brought about as emissions regs are lighter on higher capacity engines so bringing it over 50cc allowed it to survive tightening emissions regs. That and 50cc saws where coming to be more popular around that time due to the obvious increase in power and torque making it a more “all round saw”
Got a 346 OE That’s going to AR for a special birthday once I’ve sorted my vehicle out 😂 problems after problems. Also got a 365xt to go as well as a few dolmaks once I’ve made some money
Most of the new ones came with the fuel/primer bulbs. I prefer the old chassis with the quick/strap top cover, front exhaust bracket and no primer bulb.
@@7eis all NE editions came with a primer, though I’ve never understood why people dislike primers on saws. though the muffler support can only be a good thing, I believe all of the ne and Oe 346s had quick release top covers it was only the early 353 that had the bolt on cover I believe. I’d die for a 346xpg triobrake ! Machinery nation can you get the 550s as a triobrake ???
Yes the later 50cc versions are so much better, even had the silver clutch cover. I think this saw has had one hell of a life 😂😂
@@MachineryNation can you got the mk1 or 2 550 with triobrake ?
As a gardener, I don't use chainsaws that much but do have a 455 Rancher, which I find excellent. I do use hedgecutters a lot, so is there any chance of doing a review on the Husqvarna 522HDR75X? I know it's not a brand new product, but there is almost nothing on Utube about it. Just think more people need to know about it as it is a phenomenal machine!
Another good video James my favourite husky is the 372xp I have never had a 346xp would love one as a rebuild project if your interested in Letting it good I would be interested in any other husky kit you have ? hope you have a great Christmas and New year looking forward to seeing your new vids in 2023 keep up the good work guys 👍🌳
Thanks bud, you are welcome to make me an offer or she might spend the rest of days under another bench haha. Have a great festive time to you and your family 🎄
I own one and without a doubt it is a great saw
You gave it every chance James , sadly it was not to be. Great video and at least you got a workout pulling that cord 😂
Defo had a workout Neil! She must of had a good life! 😂😂
@@MachineryNation you have to be serious about such work than you are braying and braying like a donkey
Watching you try start it is why I switched to battery saws 😂
Hahahaha yep 😂
My favorite is the see-saw, I had the most fun on one at the park..... last week. 🤣
Merry Christmas Machinery Nation, James Suzanne Josh Will and everyone behind the scenes. 🌟
🎄
I love a good see-saw too John. And to you my friend, have a wonderful time 🎄🎅🏼
Thanks brother. 🙂
Hi James Nice Video goes to show not every job is a success good spares or repair saw ( one careful owner working when last used ) 🤣🤣Have a good Christmas every one at Machinery Nation Thanks again 🥕🥕
Exactly, thank you Darren. Have a great Christmas buddy 🎄
Iwas waiting for it going over to the other side of the room very fast 🤣🤣
I might well of done if there was not an expensive camera in the way hahaha
It could be a challenge for Mike's mowers he loves a classic machine
Not sure he is that much of a 2 stroke fan though haha.
I would like to have that saw.
Dawn and a toothbrush.. chainsaws like to be clean. Send it to me.
These often have the plastic intake boot clamp go bad. Husqvarna offers a metal clamp. This will keep it from going lean and ruining the cylinder.
Great advice, thank you. Unfortunately there is just to much wrong with this saw to make it worthwhile repairing.
Could quite easily hav been rebuilt. Strip it down, replace crank seals, piston (cylinder if scored), fuel line and a carb kit. If a saw doesn't start in 10 pulls theres something wrong with it, just stop trying.
Would you sell me that 346? Got any other old 3 series huskies? Want to repair some as a hobby basically haha.
I would be interested
Email me 👍🏼
My favorite saw is the free kind as I don't have one 🥺
You can’t beat a free saw 😂
I would of used the drill instead of the rip cord. haha
Haha yeah
Instant migraine listening to you.
No one can help you with that pain I’m afraid, sounds like it’s a you issue 👍🏼
359
Nice 👌🏽
First- way too coool chainsaw
Thank you 😎
Hello there, yes I agree that it is a great saw 👍🏻 light weight but got some nice torque 👍🏻
In my opinion the best 50cc Professional saw is the Mighty 026&260 from Stihl, but that doesnt mean that I dont like other saws. Everyone has its own favourite.
Greetings and merry Christmas from germany
Thanks, the 260 was a great saw!
@@MachineryNation Thats why I keep them. Got the 026 from 1995, 260 from 2002, 261 from 2013 and a new 261 with M-Tronic 3.0
@@derrasenmaher9730so which one of them is the best?
@@carjepseb if I would use it just to cut my own wood I would go with the good old 026 and 260 Stihl. No Electronics, no problems 😁 and parts are still available. But I use them as a Professional, so I take the 261 with me. Great lightweight saw and cuts fast throug anything. But still keep my old Boys as a backup if one breaks down.
Also the Husqvarna 550 XP Mark 2 is a great saw. Plenty of power and very well balanced
good vid i think my 357xp is better
Yeah the 357 is a good saw 👍🏼
If you are going to save the best chainsaw in the world, you better go out and buy it, cause it sure as hell ain’t the little boy toy you have
16 INCH bar not 15
No, it is a 15” 👍🏼
20 minutes of my life I will never get back. Had to milk out that 20 for the monitization, hugh? That was like watching a drunk school girl continuously giggle why trying too hard to be cute. It is pretty rare to have an OE 45cc label intact and on a saw that would clean up extremely well. I can't believe he is going to make it a scrap pile saw. This guy doesn't have a mechanical bone in his feminine body. Anyone whonis anyone would have started out with a compression check to know if it had just enough compression to somewhat run. Seriously, the WORSE saw video I have ever seen. Also, no fuel has a 5 year shelf life...
Was this some sort of love letter? A for effort my man 💪🏽
