It's funny seeing the UFC protect their new cash cow, Khabib now that he's become a star. Back only a few years ago, they treated him like dog shit when he was just the scary, non-English speaking, unknown contender that was smashing everyone. They played Khabib, promising him the title shot at UFC 205, to force the petrified Eddie Alvarez to accept less money in the McGregor fight.
Now they have a ton of promotion behind him, and have him headlining a PPV in the Muslim world, because he will put tons of asses in seats, eyeballs on TV's, and sell PPVs. They're even showing his knockdown of McGregor over and over and over, when back in the day they would never do something like that to Conor to protect him.

Sarah McBeth yea timeâs not on his side, thatâs for sure. The only upside I can see is that the more fights Khabib wins, the bigger achievement it would be for GSP to win against him. Khabib could fight Tony as soon as December, although Iâve heard him say heâs done with fighting in Las Vegas for good so not sure when that next fight might happen. it may be so elsewhere. but UFC is built around drama and excitement that comes with it. it's ingrained in the promotion, sadly Khabib or anyone else can't change that. if they do, it'll only be for their events, and only temporarily. the trash talk and touchiness will always stay

The reason UFC doesn't want to make it is because if GSP beats khabib, as he told he might not defend the belt as he did after beating bisping, UFC were pissed off when that happened, that is the reason GSP might not fight . One more reason is khabib wants to fight in 155 only, now I doubt GSP can cut to155, so again that might might not happen đȘ
