I managed to skip Vexen's DM by using Donald's megaduck flare. Wasn't intentional.
Duck flare is op, i didn’t get hit by marluxia or whatever the pink hair is.
I use duck flare, use a form to remove Donald so he doesn’t die, revert, and then duck flair.

Not sure why you'd wanna upload this at 60FPS if the game is running without the 60FPS patch but okay.
+MegaZack30 Other uploads had even lower than 30 fps which made the gameplay worse and at times you could see the timer skip anywhere from 3/10ths of a second to a full second and I found it really annoying.
I noticed the camera is 60FPS. Also, you can use the 60FPS patch on real PS2 hardware, but it becomes irrelevent after Roxas' part of the game as the PS2 simply can't do it. PCSX2 can run the game just fine at 60FPS for the most part however.
Can somebody please explain why they play the Japanese version of the game? How do they even understand every single word and ability..

What's he doing at 12:19? He goes up to Roxas, uses limit form, hits him until what point? When does he know when to use Ars Arcanum?
If i were to guess, he pushed Roxas to his revenge value limit and because ars doesn't add to the revenge value he got more damage in without Roxas being able to fight back.
I think they only don't add to revenge value if you don't use the finisher, "the end" or something

If you are going to compare this run to DS you have to compare it to DS soul level 1 run where you never level up, staying level 1 gives you no secret benefits like in KH, and you are not able to use most of the weapons in the game unlike in KH where there are no stat requirements for weapons.
As far as being more fun, that's purely subjective. I would day KH is easier than DS as far as combat goes. there is no stamina management so you can just spam attacks, along with other combat advantages you get in the KH series.
The harder KH games are (to me) BBS and DDD (both use the command deck system) simply because all of your special moves have a cooldown, so there is a level a strategy required to combat. These are also my favorite games in the series.

I have a question on this, why are they sometimes leaving the room and re-enter it?
The way that continues work in Kingdom Hearts is that when you die and use a continue, it puts you back to the point where you entered the last room. By changing your items/equipment and leaving the room, you have just saved yourself from having to do that again after using a continue, thus wasting precious time.
How has nobody commented on how awkward 18:17 was? Robin Williams didn't even do the voice for Genie in that game...

They've been playing the game since it first came out. Pretty sure they just used a translation guide when they first started and then they just got used to doing it without the guide.
Axon yeah that's what I thought but it still that there are times where they accidentally equip say negative combo instead of combo plus for instance

I actually got lucky face Luxord because of his desperation move I had to take a chance of failing but actually got it. without pausing the fight. and too be honest it makes me feel bad since I have trouble beating all members at the highest level and I try to be as good.

If it's during the run, but not if it's before the official start of the run. Also some games don't go by real time but by in-game time. It's a case-by-case thing.
One way to almost kills Xigbar
instantly is when he goes into a smaller section go to final form heal and make sure you have been Zyrtec this will allow you to totally wrecked him and leaving less than a bar left when your drive goes out

RNG manipulation, less menus required, Xemnas should be last since he is the final boss in story, plenty of reasons. Xigbar is always first since the RNG manipulation from refusing Lucksword's minigame.

They use Japanese because it's faster. They memorized everything important to the run in the menus, so to some degree kind of. You'd have to ask each individual in the run how well they know Japanese.

The reason they used JP over English is because KH2FM didn't have an English release with good load times until 2017. 2FM's PS3 version had an English release but it had awful load times, so the Japanese PS2 version was preferred for speedruns until the PS4 release.
As a matter of fact, English version is faster than JP for Data Org because DuckFlare is bugged and does way more damage due to its increased limit length in English release.

I can do it a lot faster. Except my result would be death, and it would take me about 1 minute to reach the Cavern and jump into the Axel fight.

you could have done better and used fenrir and yes gotten 1 less ground combo but you would also have increased damage on your finishers. instead of getting 1 extra regular git and a weaker combo.

You guys; we can all say how redundant stats are on keyblades in KH2. when sora stats are over 80, lvl 1 crit run, etc
In short; abilities takes priority a way more then stats.
Also Fenrir abilities can be remedy with 1 combo plus but, that is saying how the keyblade is so terrible.
I did the luxord fight on My second try, but did the finishing minigame on my first try without pausing

i never understood what is crazy about this i have beaten every game lvl 1 critical mode thanks to my japan friends cuz i currently live in japan now i have learned all the moves of the enemys even soras moves so well i know the execution i know all desperation moves i understand this all about how fast you can beat them buy i have beaten all of them without death as well not gunna lie i have been practicing since it was on the ps2 final mix japanese ver ofcourse
