I think it would be helpful if the guides had reference to the timestamp in this video. This guide is a requirement to go with the published ones in the Rat Rig documentation
@@hapskie @Lokadamus - Built it ever since, it came at week 6 (give or take). I like it, though I had idler issues. Fixed it since, and replaced the belt with a Gates belt. Got it running nicely now.
Just to make it right, until the frame is not compleete, don't tighten the screws that much. Or later you have to release and retighten all of them to make sure there is no friction or missangle in it. What is your opinion?
As I could see on the steps from the build assembly on the v-core site, the 300x300 kit comes with about 4.2 meters of belt, 2.1ish for each belt, right? I'm asking it because I bought the parts myself and got 10m of 9mm belt (don't wanna cut too much belt and ruin the rest of it :) Awesome video by the way!
Good clear video. Just a comment. You could easily cut down on a lot of the repetition, and show a few dimmensions with graphics of more of the parts and there placement and halve the length of the video. But still, well done.
i want to build a 3d printer core xy but i'm still confused about choosing ratrig V core or voron trident is there any input for me so I don't choose the wrong 3d printer
Just choose the Rat Rig - The ordering process is MUCH simpler as you can get 98% of the required parts from one trusted place. With the Voron you will be ordering from quite a few places and then also you have to keep track of what you ordered etc.. I was in the same boat but eventually ordered and still waiting for my Rat Rig V-Core 3 Kit
I agree with Louis. I looked at the Voron, and was concerned that the only kits are from China and they got mixed reviews at best. Rat Rig put together a great kit and you can customize as much as you want. I'm almost done with mine and have used this video with the guides - they really work well together.
I can't wait for my V3 to arrive in 500x500x500, hope it's not longer than the 6 week wait. Five weeks have already passed, I can't wait for the printer to arrive! :-)

Bro that number of Tnut is overkill.
This video is a great addition to the documentation! Thanks for that
Ordered a 400x400 kit, this'll be helpful. In week 4 atm of waiting, exiting times. This kind of company deserves succes!
How is the printer Guus? Also ordered a 400mm one, but have to wait 8 weeks :(
So ... its time for a feedback?

I've been saving 20 bucks out of every check to get one. Only 2 more years and I'll finally have a rat rig 3d printer. I'm excited.
Build your own to save $$$
Fake video! Only dropped the Allen key a few times. 😉
Seriously though this will be great to have when Im assembling my kit! Thanks!
This is good vidéo thank you, man
I need that!
Tax return season can't get here fast enough, hahaha

Not too long now and then I should have my kit
I'm only a few weeks in.

You can check all the lengths at: v-core.ratrig.com/bom/
try to build a voron ... you will see more meters of belt :D

Step 10 still says of you choosing instead of "your" choosing
Do you supply the inner frame panel as well? I heard from other youtubers that you don't
No they dont. You will need to supply it yourself. There is a dxf file on their site with the correct dimensions and hole layouts.
@@curlycallmcdiesel5074 every laser cutting wesite tells me that the dxf file is corrupted
Man..what is this song? I cannot find it anywhere
Next week for me??? 😍😍😍 If your on time 😅🤣 Nice vid
How many weeks?
@@StephenBoyd21 7 now 😉
Oh Wow! Only 11 steps to assemble? I could do that in 15 minutes. I really want one now!
Should I wear gloves?
Everything Im seeing says the inner frame panel is end user sourced.. is there a place to get it? Or... and I left to figure it out on my own accord?
We provide DXF files so you can get the panels cut in a local laser shop. We intend to start supplying panels too, as soon as we can.
One solution is to use DIN rails in place of the panel. Works ok if you are not planning on enclosing the printer.
You really skipped the worst belt routing part. Getting it around the motor pulleys.
Is this a tank? War of the overengeneering.

@@HelgeKeck Fuck. I'm only on week 1!
Ordered mine on June 1st, still waiting
@@NoughtE You are in the best boat... Probably 6 weeks for you!
What size v-core is being built in the video?
400x400x400 :D
Great video but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE buy that man some spanners!
those drop in Tnuts are a pain,
Ye like why not ball spring nuts, like the designers wasn't aware of their existence
Omg it's a pain watching all of these t nuts wiggle and rotate, there is too many of them, why not spring ball nuts? To save 2$?
I am actually quite surprised because this is actual official channel T.T
You skipped the awesome experience of fitting the belts through the motor block - cowards!
