When did Kirsty Young return to ITN because she was on Maternity leave at the time but she did make a brief return until October 2002 when she and Dermot left and were replaced by Mark Austin & Mary Nightingale!
In November 2004 Mary Nightingale went on Maternity leave until July 2005 and at the same time new presenter Nina Hossain joined ITN as Main co presenter until Mary Nightingale returns and then Nina Hossain became a relief presenter for the ITV Lunchtime News, ITV Evening News, London Tonight, ITV News At Ten in 2009 and a sports presenter on the ITV News At 10:30 with Sir Trevor McDonald, Mark Austin and James Mates
I think she came back around June/July 2001, and then stayed until October that year, when Five News hired her back. Mary Nightingale replaced her, and of course she's still there to this day!
