- Film production often has a habit of going way off the rails. In recent years, the news has been full of torturous, drawn-out production histories on movies that limp their way to the finish line, often coming out in highly compromised forms. Usually, the only movies we here about are big budget tentpoles, but more modest films often meet a similar fate, such as HELLRAISER: BLOODLINE, which underwent massive reshoots and re-edits at the hands of Dimension Films.
SERIES SYNOPSIS: Hollywood has had its fair share of historically troubled productions. Whether it was casting changes, actor deaths, fired directors, in-production rewrites, constant delays, budget cuts or studio edits, these films had every intention to be a blockbuster but were beset with unforeseen disasters. Sometimes huge hits, sometimes box office bombs. Either way, we have to ask: What Happened To This Horror Movie?

Stuart Gordon being approached to direct a Hellraiser sequel makes sense, since From Beyond was basically proto-Hellraiser.
This was one of my favorite Hellraisers !! I wonder while Pinhead was up there did he bump into Jason Voorhees ...The Leprechaun,.,.The predators ....Thanos... Alien... The evil bong....The Guardians of the Galaxy..etc
A much maligned movie that had a cool original story and loads of potential. I really enjoy it.
Why did you guys just repost an old video from 2020 and not do an updated version that includes more info & details brought about thanks to the recent Arrow 4K release with the workprint, etc?

This one is a masterpiece. One of my favorites. And only describes Clives genius ❤
Nightbreed so desperately needs a reboot / remake, ideally as a series. So many awesome creature designs and world building possibilities.
I also wanna see Rawhead Rex remade. The 80s one basically sucked all the interesting subtext out of the narrative and rendered it super bland as a result, plus Rawheads movie design is just sort of a generic and they obviously didn’t have the budget to bring the books more impactful scenes to life in a way that was effective. It just looks super cheap so I’d love to see what they could do with Rawhead Rex with access to a bigger budget for FX and a script that brings back the more disturbing aspects of the short story.
It's a bit rough in execution, yeah, but this is my favorite Hellraiser plot, regardless.
I say that every film that had been "Weinstein-ed" deserves to have a "original director's cut" version released. Even if it just means plopping them on DVD. At least they'll exist.
Even with as much trouble as this film had being made, I still enjoyed it and thought it made an ok entry in the franchise. It's story was unique.

I really enjoyed this version, yes a little bit on and off and whenever horror icons go to space, you get scared for the wrong reasons :) but one of my favourites after 1 and 2.
I love Hellraiser: Bloodline. It had a lot of great concepts and goes over perhaps the most interesting elements of Hellraiser.

I absolutely love this Hellraiser film. The lore dive and exploration of the bloodline was super interesting to me. The movie suffered in the futurist scenes due to the low budget sadly, which really made the film look cheap.
Miramax should have done Hellraiser origin: Captain Elliott Spencer aka Pinhead
Adam Scott's experience on the set of Hellraiser Bloodline he told on CONAN was more entertaining than the movie.
Just wondering how long ago this was filmed as a reboot has been released, which was actually good.
Im surprised we dont see anything filling the gap. $1 million budget for $10 million in annual sales sounds like great ROI. At the very least let an indie studio lease the license.
Nightbreed is massively underrated, beautifully written film which looks great considering the budget or lack thereof.
I have put off watching it so many times . All I have heard is really good things from other horror fans .

This is honestly second favorite hellraiser
It was hugely ambitious given the 3 timelines but this is way better than number 3..
Ummm there was a reboot of Hellraiser in 2022 ...and it meh
this was the first Hellraiser movie i saw and i love it.
I went to hellraiser bloodline in the theater like 5 times. I loved it so much! It helped that I had recently started smoking weed and I was really high every time I went. I was also not a very sophisticated movie watcher back then. I loved this movie but I didn't like Forest Gump. Ah to be young again 😆

I actually really enjoyed this movie i like films that show different eras its somthing i think could be done great in the predator movies

I sure wish you would be asking what the heck ever happened to Clive Barker?? Absolutely loved Hellraiser 1 and 2. Really enjoyed 4. The rest were absolutely horrible

Hellraiser: Bloodline Made My Skin Crawl But It's Still Fun.
While the movie’s production is obviously a mess, I still admire the ambition and see what great story it could have been. Which is why I still consider it better than the third film.
